Nothing in the world could persuade you to go back down there. If anything, you are trying to come up with a plan to get Preston and you back in the guts of the building as soon as physically possible. You creep along until you can hear the echoes of the escalators in the distance. You are coming back around toward the entrance, which is not where you want to be. They probably have someone standing guard to get rid of security and escapees.
Now would be a good time to check for a way upstairs.
You listen for footsteps before you pull up the corner of the nearest tile and look around the hallway below. You see the remains of the doors to a stairway nearby, scraps of wood and streaks of dried blood marking the floor around it. Now if you could just find a way down...
This turns out to be lot harder than you thought it would be. You have to crawl through the hallway in the air vents until you come to an abandoned pretzel and corn dog stand, and you wait, watch, and listen with bated breath for several minutes before you slowly climb your way down the metal shelves next to the deep fryer filled with filmy, cooling vegetable oil. You take just a moment to be a deplorable thief and drain most of a bottle of some overpriced fruit juice that happened to be at the edge of the cooler next to your temporary hiding spot. You listen for a just a little longer before you take a deep breath and quickly, quietly scurry your way back down the hallway to the broken stairwell you saw.
You climb over the maintenance railing and hide in the corner full of dust behind the currently silent speakers, listening for signs of movement before you pull out your phone again.
Me: Room #?
It takes him a disturbingly long time to reply. You almost don't want to read his message out of fear.
Pearston: by the chandelier theres a dead security guy by door
Now that you might have a clue about where you are going, how are you going to get there?
Walk up the stairs to the third floor and walk to the room - go to Column
Walk up the stairs to the fourth floor and use the vents - go to Hex
