Been a while uh? Well I'm back at it again for more shenanigans.

First of all let me warn you that this chapter is shorter than all the others I've written and if all goes according to plan it will be THE shortest chapter of the whole story. That's why  I will be posting TWO chapters in a row (either both today or the next one right tomorrow morning) so it doesn't end too suddenly.

So without further a-do. Let's begin!

       =============▪~ ❀ ~▪=============

They entered the wooden house almost pushed by the man who, still muttering to himself, told them to follow him to the living room. The house was a bit of a mess, and the floor was really dirty - Gene stepped in what he hoped to be mud.

They entered the living room, it was... terrifying.. to say the least. The walls were full of animal heads, animals of all species and sizes from a small bunny (Alien nearly fainted) all the way to a dragon. There were also some other embalmed animals on the tables - Twinkle knocked some of them down.

'Sorry! I'm really sorry' She said, having a small battle inside her head wheter to pic it up, since she did knock them down, or not, since it was disgusting.

The man saved her from the indecision and picked them up himself, while muttering some swear words to himself about "this generation".

'I thought you were a blacksmith, not a hunter' Alex said, as he sat down followed by the others, including Twinkle who rushed to get far away from the man.

'Tea?' He asked, ignoring the remark and not even looking at them.

'S-sure, thank you' Gene answered, being the only one who still managed to say a single word.

'Right, then, be quick and tell me what you all came here to do' The man said, slowly making his way to get the drinks, and this time looking directly at Ruby who had 5 pairs of eyes looking straight at her.

'Yes.. So.. I.. Uh..'

'Great, I see that I'm just losing my time'

'W-Wait! We came here for.. because.. THIS' She said while putting out the pendant and showing it to him.

'Amazing, a necklace, I have never seen one around here' He sarcastically said.

'Yes, sir, but it isn't just a necklace, it's a music box' She said as she started playing the music. 'And we were told that you work with this kind of.. stuff.. and-'

Crash

The cups of tea the man was preparing fell on the ground creating yet another stain on the carpet. The four friends looked at his face and it was like staring straight at Death - the man was as pale as snow.

'That song.. Kid, where did you find that? Did you steal it?' He said, now gaining some color, but a bit too much, since he was now red as a cherry. He looked angry.

'No! I.. It's just mine.. I was found with it when I was a baby.. when I was.. abandoned..' She said as Alex laid an arm on her shoulder - and as she nervously tried to pushed him aside. 'I've always had this, I believe it belonged to my parents.'

'Kid.. there is a story you need to hear. It will make things a bit more clear. But.. you really might want to sit down for this one' He said, sounding like a robot, ignoring that she was, indeed, already seated.

'It happened quite a few years ago.'
