Welcome to part 2! This will be slightly darker so get ready. For this act there will be 2 points of view - Ruby's and the other three's.

I wanted to have Alex's POV first but y'all would kill me; so here's Ruby's!

Sorry for any spelling mistakes!

[ACT II - PART I - RUBY]

She didn't immediately realise what was happening; you know that feeling when you are almost falling asleep but you are still aware of your surroundings? Well, Ruby could still see the forest. She could still see her friends leaning forward to stop her from leaving. But she wasnt there, she knew she wasn't; it was like she was floating through space and time as both unfolded beyond her.

And then.

Darkness.

That's when she realised Babacara was still grasping her hands on her wrist, not letting go. And it was at that moment, in the middle of nothing she broke down and realised what she had done.

She traded her friends for her enemy, just because of her greed for knowledge

She didnt cry, not because she is tough but because tears just refused to fall. What was the point? There was nothing else she could do now. Before she could put her thoughts in order she felt her feet slowly touching the ground again, and quickly took a look around.

It looked like the enterior of a castle - if that castle had been attacked by about 20 dragons, to the point all the furniture was completely burnt. It was all very dark, the walls looked like they were made of dark stone covered with weird purple inscriptions.

She didnt have time to look at anything else, as Babacara pulled her arm to get Ruby closer to herself, holding on to her waist to make sure she didn't escape.

'Well! I knew the scientist was the smart one, but I always considered you the second brightest... never expected you to believe me so quickly...'

'You were li-'

'Shh! You are only to speak when spoken to" Babacara interrupted. She then changed her voice to a higher tone, to mock the pirate. 'Don't forget to listen to you "mother"'

The laugh she then did said everything. She lied.

Ruby's heart shattered, every small inch of hope she had of Babacara actually telling the truth flew in every direction. What had she done?

She felt anger rush through her as she managed to leave the witch's grip; she then lauched herself ready to hit her.

'Oh! I would stop right there if I were you, my darling' Babacara said, making Ruby stop moving with a spell. She then put her hands on the pirate's chin. 'You see, sweetheart, I promised I knew something about your mother, not that I was her. If you hadnt allowed that impulsive facade of yours to show, you would have realised that, just like your friends did.. oh, my bad, I should probably rather say ex-friends.'

Babacara stepped away from Ruby and un-freezed her, quickly realising it was a mistake since she was already darting towards her. The witch smiled and proceeded.

'Now, now... you see, I really wasnt lying when I said I knew something about your family; but... I enjoy deals... and since you ever-so-nicely accepted to come here by your own will... that whole "leave your friends" thing won't count... its not like they needed you anyway... You know... I will tell you everything I know... if you bring me Kingsland's Magical Teapot.'

Ruby froze, she didn't know what to think anymore, but one thing was for sure:

'I won't' She spat 'I made a mistake by coming herw in the first place, Im not doing another one so soon. Not for likes-of-you'

Babacara laughed.

It was hideous, the worst sound you could ever hear.

She walked towards the door of the room and held the handle.

'How cute... you think you have a choice...' She left the room and locked Ruby inside, while this one screamed many words and names I could never repeat. 'Ill be back tomorrow... I hope your answer is different by then... it better be'

Ruby was left in complete silence. All she could hear was her heart beating at an absurd speed.

What had happened?

"Its not like they need you" those words kept haunting her. What if she was right? At that point her team mates must hate her. And who can blame them?

She betrayed them, she left them to rot.

Thats when she remembered the other two witches that were with Babacara earlier, what if they had hurt her friends?

It was all Ruby's fault. She knew it.

All because she needed answers, because she was greedy and impulsive.

She sat by the wall and hugged her knees, she felt something in her pocket: the letter she had previously written. She felt disgusted by it. How could she have been so blind? She allowed her own stupidity to break through. And now she would be there forever. She would never accept Babacara's deal. That was all. If the witch got her hands on the Teapot she would become the most powerfull magician alive. It would be the end of the world.

Ruby wouldn't let that happen if she had to die for it.

She had betrayed her friends once.

She wouldn't let that happen again.
