Alex had warned it. Warned that due to its location Uzurya was incredibly hot. But nothing could have really prepared them for just how hot it was. You could easily fry an egg in there.

The most amazing fact was that the houses were made of wood. It was amazing how everything hadn't burned yet.

The streets were too thin so they couldn't take the Chameleon, they had to walk (or fly) all the way to the middle of the village. No one really spoke, but it wasn't just because of the heat. They were afraid of saying anything.

Ruby had to previously put up with warnings about how it wasn't certain that her family had lived there at some point, since they could have just passed by and asked for someone to forge the medallion. But it didn't really matter, she finally had a clue.

After years and years of listening to the small music box she had something in hand. At the same time, it somehow hurt at how the answer was so simple. Identifying the kind of song wasn't even that complicated, and she could have easily done it herself, even if much slower with out Gene's... things. She put her friends through so much trouble for something that could end up in no result at all, she hated having people worry about her.

She didn't have time to put her toughts in order since they arrived in what seemed to be the chief's house; right in the middle, and the biggest one. He had agreed to take them in thanks to Alex's... status.

The chief was an old man, who seemed to be about to give up on everything, he had a tired voice but he was still a pretty kind person.

'Your graceful Highness!' He said to the prince as soon as he set eyes on him. He did an exagerated bow almost falling forward, this made Ruby laugh for the first time that day. 'What an amazing honour! As soon as I heard your highness, as soon as I heard you were coming a made sure everything was ready for your royal arrival! But forgive me for my question, may I ask, your majesty, why do you carry yourself accompanied by a rabbit, a performer, a wizard and a fairy?'

They each tried to identify themselfs in the chief's designations and the first three were quite indignated after doing so. Alex tried to stop the man's exaggeration while also trying to keep his own composture.

'These are my friends, sir. Let me thank your hospitality, but could you inform me where we can find a forger that is is specially good at working music boxes? There must me someone who only works with that here.. I mean, how else would you keep your economy if you all work in the same kind of things?'

'Of course you're correct! I shall give you directions after I show you where you'll stay'

'Well then, would you be so kind to tell us where our rooms will be? We're in a bit of a hurry, we have a festival to attend in a few days and...'

'But of course!' He said, trying to kiss the poor knight's hand 'Of course a Prince like you has a lot to attend to, I shall not make you lose another second! I shall lead you right to your room.'

And so he did, but no exactly right away, he just had to talk about how his entire house had been built. After about what seemed like hours they were there, they finally got there, the chief gave him a small piece pf paper with the directions. So they thanked the excited old man, who appeared to want to continue speaking, and entered the room.

It was a relatively large living room that had then two doors that led to the bedrooms: one for the girls and one for the boys. The former only had one bed and the latter, much to Ruby's disbelief had two.

'I'll have to sleep with a set of wings in my face!?'

The boys looked at each other and couldn't help but laugh.

After resting for a while they decided to begin, they did some quick changes to what they were wearing because if they hadn't died from any of their adventures so far, it would be the weather that did it. Ruby had, with a bit of hesitation, left her hat well hidden. Both her Gene had taken off their jackets and Alex wasn't wearing all his pieces of armour even if he still had his trusty sword, just in case. The only person that was wearing the same was Twinkle since...

'We fairies aren't very affected by the climate~ ! We don't get sun burns, so the hot weather doesn't mather. As for the cold; it never bothered me, anyway!'

They headed outside and prayed for the directions to actually lead to something, everything was happening really quickly, but they only wanted Ruby to be herself again. She had been pretty down since she revealed the truth, she hadn't made that many jokes and sarcastic comments and they were literally passing by tons of people forging gold and she seemed completly unnafected by it.

The truth is, she hadn't even noticed. She was lost in thought. All her life she waiting for this, she had been mentally preparing herself behind the cool facade she had, but the truth was that, deep within, she was terrified. Terrified of the truth. Deep within she knew she wasn't ready at all.

And she really wasn't.

Arrived at the destination she froze. The house seemed a little old and broken (maybe there had been fires after all) but still could use as habitation. The door had a moon carved on it and the door handle was also moon-shaped.

'Knock!' Twinkle said, excited to see what awaited her best friend. 'Do it!'

She didn't do it.

'Whyy? Are you afraid?' Alex joked. How could he? 'Look who's turning into a chicken at this point'

As he said this he put his hands in his axillas and started immitating a chicken.

Gene looked at Alex alarmed, mocking the pirate could end in two ways:

1. Someone getting hurt.

2. Something ending up broken.

Or both.

Twinkle understood what Alex was doing, the other fairies used to do the same with her so she joined him in the teasing.

Ruby was as red as her name said.

She turned her back to that scene and knocked alarmingly hard.

'May I help you?' Said a voice, but it didn't come from inside.

There was a man, appearing to be in his late 40's looking at them, Alex and Twinkle who were still doing their strange ritual immediatly dropped like soldiers.

It was Ruby who spoke.

'Who are looking for the resident of this house. The chief directed us to it.'

The man sighed. He personally didn't like people snooping around his house, but something about the blue-haired one gave him some kind of trust.

'Come in.'

=============▪~ ❀ ~▪=============

Why are my titles so darn dramatic? Why am I so darn dramatic? I'm trying to keep the chapter names at 2 words each (preferably adjective + feeling) but it's starting to become a bad idea xD

I don't have much to say about this one except "ooh expectation".

(Also obvious reference in this reeeally is obvious.)

Yeah that's it.

~ Thanks for reading, until next time, byee!
