“Sorry,” I murmured, “I don’t really feel like talking.”

Erik sighed and grabbed my arm tightly. “Quit acting like a spoiled brat! Face me straight on instead of running away,” he said and held my gaze steadily.

I jerked my arm free from his grasp; I didn’t care if I acted like a child. I just needed to be alone. Erik tried to grab my arm again, avoiding his hand while ducking I started to run off but before I knew it I was on the ground, face down. Erik, that son of a bitch, had knocked me over. Struggling to get away from him, I accidently hit him with my elbow in the face, oops.

“Goddammit Erika! Why are you acting like this? Is it because I said you were a virgin?” Erik groaned.

“Idiot!” I yelled, feeling my face getting warm. Blushing I started to hit him again.

Erik pinned down my arms so I couldn’t hit him. God, his strong, I had somehow turned while fighting Erik and now had my back against the hard, moist ground. This would definitely ruin my school uniform, great. Why am I even fighting Erik? Wouldn’t it be better if I just told him that he hurt me when he made it sound that he was trying to have sex with me just because the vampires craved more for my blood than the other humans in Midnight Academy. With a sigh, I stopped fighting him.

“Sorry…it was a stupid thing of me to do,” Erik murmured silently.

“What did you say,” I snapped.

“I’m sorry; it was a shitty thing I did, sorry. If you would just understand that I did it for you,” he said avoiding my eyes, still keeping me in place with his strong hands.

“How could this be a kind thing to do? I felt used, like you only had an excuse for satisfying your own desires,” I said icily.

“No, you got it wrong…I only wanted to protect you from…” Erik said but got interrupted by a deep voice.

“I guess the blame is on me,” I turned my head and saw Daniel standing by a tree, observing us.

“What do you mean?” I asked.

“That is Daniel Hamilton, if you would just do your damn homework and learn that this man, is in fact the son of one of the royal vampires, we wouldn’t be in this situation,” Erik said angrily. I glanced at Erik and then Daniel, what?

“I don’t get it,” I murmured.

“Your dense girl,” Erik sighed. “He is one of those noble vampires and guess what…he wants your blood.”

“And her body, don’t forget that Erik,” Daniel smirked. Erik growled at him.

“Wait a minute! What do you mean?” I gasped confused, gazing at both of them. Erik sighed and hesitatingly meeting my eyes.

“He wants you, and when a noble vampire wants something, he gets it, no matter what,” Erik said grimly.

“Why would he want me? I’m ordinary, plain and I have a terrible personality,” I said, raising an eyebrow.

“Simply because of your blood, your blood smells heavenly. I wouldn’t mind having you by my side, being able to take a sip from you whenever I want, ah…even thinking about that makes my mouth water,” Daniel said amused.

I gazed at him in horror; still positioned on the ground I searched Erik’s eyes. Our eyes met and I felt sick, I needed to get away, I needed my bed. I felt like a small child, I needed to get some safety.

“Take me away from here,” I whispered, so low that (probably) only Erik heard. Erik loosened his grip from my arms and wrapped his arms around my waist, helping me to get up on my feet.

“Can you walk?” Erik murmured.

“Yes, just support me,” I muttered, I still haven’t completely forgiven him. Daniel followed us with his gaze as we walked away, I heard him chuckle, but when I turned my head to him he was gone.

We got to our room safely, I staggered into the shower; ignoring Erik’s pleading that I should eat something. I undressed slowly; my uniform was extremely dirty; luckily I had an extra. I was standing in front of the grand bathroom mirror and looked at the pale creature standing there. My icy blue eyes looked tired, my white hair was a mess, it even got dirt in it, sighing I put my head in my hands. I felt so lonely, Alistar wasn’t home, I wasn’t in any good relationship with the twelve hunters and Erik…I wasn’t in the mood counseling Erik. I slowly got into the shower and sank to the floor, letting the water slowly heating my body, washing the dirt away. I felt so weak, since when had I started to become one of these weak girls? I hated it!

I got out of the shower with my mind set; I knew what I had to do. I wrapped a towel around me and slowly opened the door; Erik looked up when he heard the door opening, meeting my eyes.

“Hey, how are you feeling?” He asked, watching me warily.

Feeling my heart beating franticly, I slowly walked over to him. I can do this; I chanted that in my head repeatedly. It’s not that big of a deal. Having my mind set, I straddled him.

“Yes,” I whispered.

“What?” Erik gasped.

“Yes, I’ll take that offer, please, Erik, make love to me” I whispered and met his eyes steadily.
