I get off the bed and help Rachel out. Rachel looks at me and hugs me. Then I remember the fresh body that was beside me. I pull of the blanket and stare at my moms face. I cry. The tears in my eyes make my vision blurry. I unchain my mom and try to wake her up. I check her pulse. She's gone. I grab a knife and cut the threads on my lips, making me bleed and sob in pain. Rachel does the same. "I missed you!" Rachel says hugging me. I start to cry from my moms death. "We have to get out of here" Rachel states. I nod and as we walk out I look back at my mom and start to cry even more. We see the exit and we run out the door. When we get outside the sun is so bright it burns our skin. We run under an umbrella and stay there until it's dark. We continue to walk in the night. On our adventure to get home, I feel my face. It's not swollen anymore. I look at Rachel and her face is cleared also. "Our faces" I say "they are back!" Rachel smiles and we keep walking in the dark night.
