I couldn't find them so I went back outside. The girl was gone. I stood outside for a while. Then kept realizing things. The only reason I wanted to stop the disease before, was because Rachel had it. I guess I was as selfish as everyone else. But why did Emily and Alex want to stop that disease? Was there something they weren't telling me? Then I realized Alex only wanted to stop the disease because he had it. But now he doesn't. I had it also, so maybe that's another reason why I wanted to stop it too. I needed to find out why Emily wanted to stop it. Maybe she was up to something. Was she the cause of that disease? Was she the cause of cancer? Why does she want me to stop the disease? Why can't she stop anything? All these questions and I couldn't answer them for myself, because they were all questions for Emily. An hour later I finally saw them come outside. "Did you find anyone?" I asked. They nodded and showed me the DNA thingy. "That's what a person with cancers DNA will look like." Emily said. I looked up at Emily. I felt like I couldn't trust her anymore. But Alex had been there with her so I trusted Alex. "Now what?" I asked. "That's for you to decide." Emily said, handing me the DNA machine. "Why is this all up to me?" I asked. "Because your the chosen one." Emily replied, walking away. I was surprised to see that Alex was following her! I carried the small machine home and couldn't sleep. I couldn't stop thinking about Emily and what she might be up to. I also still wanted to know how she knew where I lived.
