"Katy behind you!" Sasha warned her.

Bridgette had turned and was now following her new friends example in finding the first meal of the day. Katy swung her pistol in time to put down what was once Bridgette and went to help the rest of the group.

Pure anarchy reigned over the once peaceful campsite. Jeremy scanned the camp but could not see an exit amongst the throng of hungry zombies. Anxiety began to build up in him causing him to panic.

Jeremy's worst fear was cluster phobia, being trapped in small spaces. Now he was experiencing it with the double whammy of zombies to worsen his situation.

How did they get through the fence? Jeremy would have to deal with that later, for now he had to focus on getting everyone else out of the camp safely and alive.

Looks like he needs to step up his game. As he was helping Gretchen clear a section of zombies swarming Adam and Sandra, out of the corner of his eye he glimpsed Ashley being taken down.

Two gone in less then a minute, how pathetic of a group was this turning out to be?

Jeremy heard her shrieking screams but could not do anything about it. This was like Danny all over again, having to watch his friend die and not able to a do a thing to save him.

He couldn't bear to lose anyone else, not today. Letting his instincts take over Jeremy let his body do the work of killing the zombies multiple at a time while he tried to get everyone to safety.

Slicing one with his sword and shooting another with his pistol clutch style he managed to free Xavier and Penny who were pinned down by the lake. Before making his way back over to the others, he told them where to meet them on map Penny grabbed from Gretchen.

On the map Gretchen had already planned on a rendezvous point in case the group got separated for any reason. A few miles from there camp was a bridge that lined the boarder between Canada and the U.S. The plan was to meet under the bridge and wait for others to arrive. If no one showed up within a day or two then keep moving on.

The group was holding their own all right, Jessica was being dead weight holding the gun at awkward angles and firing without even looking. Wasting precious ammo they couldn't afford Jeremy grab the gun from her hand and told her to make a run for it.

Seizing the opportunity she ran as fast as she could to escape with Xavier and Penny. Taking turns covering each other they packed up what they could carry and finished off the rest of the zombies.

Miraculously they cleared them all away without losing another precious soul. Checking their inventory, Jeremy and the rest of the group did what they thought was best before they met up with Jessica, Penny, and Xavier.

Gathering the deceased bodies of Ashley and Bridgette, they brought them over to the graves they dug to put both of their friends to rest. As Adam said some words about Ashley and Bridgette Jeremy came to a realization about everything.

Welcome to the buried life. All they seem to do is lose people and bury them, falling deeper down the rabbit hole of madness, insanity, and loneliness. There will come a time in which Jeremy might look back on this and let it slip into obscurity, until then though these are the memories he will remember most.

Wiping away tears from his eyes Jeremy gathered everyone away from the graves. It was time to go.
