Isn't amazing how things can go from good, to bad, and then become a total cluster fuck? Jeremy had no idea how south everything was going to go the moment he put his plan into action that sunny afternoon.
Having gathered up his friends in the living room of their temporary home it was time to hear what Intel they gathered from last night. Greg and Jessica were able to find their armory down the road in the basement of a house no one was living in, and Katy and Sasha weren't able to find anything wrong with the camp, but were able to find a schedule of the security shifts and the house where the man who ran it all happened be in.
They did Jeremy and Adam's job, as all they were able to do was piss off the kid whose dad runs the camp. Jeremy needed to say something that couldn't wait till later.
"I've been thinking a lot last night about my plan and I need to ask you guys something," Jeremy announced looking at each of his friends in turn. "Do you guys really want to do this because if you don't I understand."
Greg opened his mouth to say something but Jeremy told him to wait till he finished saying what he had on his mind.
"This is some dangerous shit and it would be a miracle to escape the camp let alone take it. So I need to know before we decide to execute our plan, does anyone want out?"
The room went dead silent as everyone sat there contemplating what Jeremy had said. Out of them all it was Jessica who wanted out, her heart was set on living here no matter what and Jeremy had to respect that.
Now knowing everyone's position the plan begin, starting with the simplest part Jeremy would meet with the man in charge and gain his trust. The best way he knew how to do that was find out more about his mother's past and the closeness the man had with her.
Laying out the details in the best way he could, Jeremy left his friends in the living room and made his way over to the man's home in the center of the camp. Weaving his way past the crowds of people walking on the street Jeremy couldn't help but notice the walls that protected the living from the dead.
The wall was made up of brick encased with thick metal sheets every few feet creating a perfect barrier in case if there was a firefight. Brick can be broken with repeated shots over time but the metal sheets would hold up under enemy fire, unless they use a grenade or something to blow up the wall.
Jeremy had to admire how ingenious it was to construct a wall like that. In his head that was just another good reason to take it, to give them protection from all who dared to threaten him and his friends.
Without even realizing it he made it to the center of the camp. However Katy and Sasha got their Intel it was detailed down to the teeth as Jeremy stood right outside the man's house, which happened to be located everyone to see. It seemed to tower over the other buildings reinforcing who ruled this camp.
The house may have had a nice, appealing, and inviting outer appearance, but on the inside Jeremy knew the dark, twisted, and possibly broken person that lived on the inside. Taking in a shallow breath Jeremy focused his mind on the task at hand.
"Remember he is just an ordinary person," Jeremy said to himself. "There's nothing to fear except...actually being afraid is okay. Just keep on your toes and look out for anything out of the ordinary."
Looking both ways Jeremy checked to make sure everything seemed completely safe before putting himself in potential danger. Taking one step at a time he reached the door and paused before knocking on it lightly.
A minute passed before the door opened. The man answered dressed in his Sunday's best clothes and putting on a smile that did not look quite right on his face. It felt like it was disagreeing with what he actually wanted to show but needed to keep a certain public image.
