Mark's POV

Now changed, I limp through the halls of Tazuna's house to where I hear voices, mostly Naruto's. As I walk, I think back to earlier, when I asked Sakura to keep the secret for me.

"Soon after, I could hear a loud scream, followed by the crashing of medal. Then, I could feel footsteps following me. After running for a while, there was a cart with some crates lying in front of a short but still tall enough building. As the beast reached me, I jumped into the cart and then the roof, but fell as I landed. I then tried standing, but my right knee buckled, and I saw that he had managed to get me. And then I woke up, and you know the rest." I look up at Sakura, waiting to see whether or not she believes me.

I don't even know why it's such a big deal to me, but I feel as if she doesn't believe me, I'll be really dissatisfied for some reason.

Sighing, she closes her eyes, before looking at me and nodding.

I begin to smile, feeling happy for some reason. "And remember, don't tell anyone, ok?" She nodded to me, making me smile even more. Without noticing, I slowly began to walk towards her, before my arms enveloped her in a large hug. "Thanks Sakura." I say, before turning around and limping off to get dressed.

I walk into the room where Kakashi had been sleeping yesterday and last night. It looked like he had just woken up, and everyone else was already pestering him.

"Are you all right mister teacher?" Tsunami, who is Tazuna's daughter asks.

"No, but I will be... in about a week..." Kakashi tells her as Naruto begins to get right next to him, almost right in his face.

I sigh slightly, before limping over to Kakashi and picking Naruto off of him.

"Hey Kakashi-sensei," I say, as a squirming Naruto looks back at me.

"Hey Mark." He says, looking up at me tiredly.

"You look tired." I point out in boredom, as I drop Naruto and sit down next to his bed roll.

"Yeah, well, I am, so I guess you win the grand prize." He retorts lazily, making me raise an eyebrow.

"Which is?"

"Leading the team in training and protecting Tazuna till I have healed enough to train all 4 of you."

My eyes widen in surprise. I had not expected him to say that."Really? Me, on my own?" I ask, to which he nods.

"Anyway, why are you so tired? Is it because of your Sharingan?"

"Yeah, I used it to much, and my body wasn't able to take the power." Kakashi tells me, making me sweatdrop.

"Well, sensei," Sakura begins, making me look at her. "The Sharingan is a great power and all, but if it puts this much of a strain on your body, then maybe you shouldn't use it so much, especially when Mark has his own Sharingan." She finishes, looking at me as she does.

"This time, you took down your strongest foe yet..." Tazuna begins with a slight laugh in his voice. "So we can probably relax for a while."

"I can't get my mind off that masked kid."

"That mask is worn by the most elite and secret ninja from the village hidden in the mist." Kakashi starts explaining slowly. "The Shinobi hunters all wear them..."

As Kakashi continues his explanation, I zone out, thinking back to when we first confronted him.

He had been hiding in the trees for almost 10 minutes, as far as I could sense. He had probably been there the whole time though.
