I breathed in the air that was foreign to my nose. The new aroma captured me along with everything else. I walked out of the airport looking for a taxi so I could explore my new home. I finally hauled a cab and gave the driver my new address. While the car moved through the new (at least to me) city I couldn't help but look around in amazement. The big city of Los Angeles was so much more than the small town I spent all eighteen years of my life in. The driver told me that we had arrived to our destination. I grabbed all of my luggage and walked to my new home. Technically it's not my house, I'm renting it but the homey feeling is the same. I explored the house and I can honestly say it was nice.
I've barely graduated from high school and got accepted to a music college here in Los Angeles to accomplish my dream of being in the music industry. I know Los Angeles is going to be a huge transition from living in a small Texas town.
~Two Weeks Later~
I had just finished playing on stage at a small coffee shop. I was packing my guitar into its case when I felt someone's eyes on me. I turned around and my eyes met the most beautiful green eyes I have ever seen. From across the sat a man with curly brown hair and he was wearing a smirk on his face. He was seated with four other guys but his attention was the only one focused on me. I grabbed my guitar and walked towards the manager. He handed me some money for performing tonight. I thanked him before walking towards the door. When I reached for the door handle another hand beat me to it. I looked up to see the guy that was looking at me earlier.
"Thank you," I said walking through the door.
"Let me help you carry that," he said pointing to my case. Before I could say "no" he grabbed the case from me. He followed me to my car.
"You can set it here," I told him while I opened the back door of my car. He did just that.
"Thank you... Umm... I didn't get your name."
"Harry." He said with the same smirk from earlier on his face.
"Well, thank you, Harry." I was about to get into my car when I felt his hand on my wrist.
"I told you my name so I think it's only fair if I know yours."
"Alexis." I replied yanking my wrist from his grip.
"How about we get to know each other over something to drink?" He asked.
"I would love to but I can't," I fibbed to him.
"Well, maybe some other time," Harry responded running the back of his hand over my cheek. He leaned into me. I felt his breath on my lips. He moved his face away from mine and softly chuckled. "See you around, Alexis." With that said he left.
I stood by my car in shock of what just happened. I regained myself and headed home.
~At home~
I couldn't get Harry out of my mind. He was gorgeous but he also had a dangerous aroma that just made me want to be around him.
"Hey, Lex!" My friend, Aimee, greeted me when I entered my house. She came to visit me from Texas so she can at least see what LA is like and hang out since we live in different states now.
"Hey, Aim."
"How was the gig?"
"It went well. I'm going to bed. I'll see you tomorrow."
"Night. By the way I was thinking we could go out to a club tomorrow."
I groaned. "Fine but only because tomorrow's your last night here." I hated clubs. I would much rather stay home and watch movies or catch up on work.
I changed into some shorts and a T-shirt and went to bed. Even as I slept I still found myself thinking about Harry.
