06 Albus Potter x Reader || Damn Right

Albus Potter x Reader (f). Next Gen. 

You're walking from Charms class with your dormmate and best friend, Rose Weasley, deep in discussion about Professor Flitwick's opinion on the ethics of the Cheering Charm. So deep of discussion, in fact, that you essentially bump right into Rose's cousin, and your long time crush, Albus Potter.

You both stumble backwards, and you drop your books all over the floor.

"Merlin!", Albus snaps, dusting himself off. "You should watch where you're -", he cuts himself off he looks up to see your flushed face. "Oh [Y/N], hi", he rubs his hand on the back of his neck.

You open and close your mouth like a goldfish, still shocked from the incident and the fact that Albus even remembers your name. Rose snickers, and pinches the back of your arm which shocks you out of your stupor.

"I'm so sorry", you say, "I didn't mean - I was -"

"Honestly, it's fine", he smiles, and squats down to collect your scattered books for you.

"Oh okay, now it's fine, cause it's a pretty girl", Rose teases and Albus glares up at her.

"Hello to you too, Rose", he says, passing you your books.

"Thanks", you say meekly, tucking a loose strand on hair behind your ear.

"It's not a problem, really I should have been looking where I was going"

"Damn right", Rose quips, and this time you both glare at her.

"Okay, okay I get the message", she says, walking backwards with her hands raised, "You want to be alone that's fine." She smirks her trademark smirk and disappears behind a corner.

"She's all Weasley, that one", Albus shakes his head and laughs.

You smile in return, though butterflies are taking flight in your stomach at the thought of being alone with Albus. You're about to make an excuse to hurry off after her, before he asks whether you're hungry.

"Not really", you say, but a sudden growl of your stomach betrays you.

"You sure about that?", Albus laughs. "Would you like to grab lunch with me, I'm heading there now?"

"Sure", you hear yourself say, and the smile that breaks over Albus' face makes your heart soar.
