Ringo was still playing at being a disc jockey for the evening and put a slow record onto the turntable.
John stood up from the sofa and held out his hand to Charlie. "Dance with me." He smiled.
She slipped her hand into John's hand and allowed him to pull her up.
John placed his hands on Charlie's waist.
"Thank you for inviting us." She positioned her hands on John's shoulders.
They swayed from side to side.
Charlie continued. "Howard likes to schedule every moment of our lives to capitalize on the success of our single here. It's nice to get out."
John nodded. "I can relate." He made a forward move and grabbed her backside.
Charlie smirked. "What kind of girl would you think I am if I let you keep your hands there?"
John raised his eyebrows. "The kind that knows how to have a good time."
She guided his hands onto her hips.
He shook his head. "I've got a good girl on my hands. That's a shame." He teased playfully.
She wrapped her arms loosely around his neck. "I can be both."
"I'm sure you can." He whispered.
"I've got the same feeling about you."
"Come out with me tomorrow. I'll take you to a club. Show you a bit of the London nightlife, Tilly."
"I'm sure we'd have a good time."
"We would," John thought she looked hesitant. "We could even take the kids." He glanced at George and Annette. "The four of us could make a night of it."
"Howard wouldn't like that. The Debutantes are supposed to be three clean-cut girls."
"I'm not asking him. I'm asking you, Tilly. We've been having a good time tonight, haven't we?"
"A very good time."
"I'll take care of Weiss." He winked.
Charlie laughed. "Another dinner with Brian? Howard's not that way."
"Never said Brian was either." He replied defensively. "Do you have a better idea?"
"I could try to convince him that the possibility of being seen out with you and George would be good for our image."
"Brian's turned us into blighty's favorite son-in-law's."

Paul was annoyed by Charlie's lack of enthusiasm for the song he offered her. He decided to work on the demo that morning. He remembered that he left the tape spool at Ringo and George's flat and went to retrieve it. But, the spool was missing from the tape recorder.
Paul assumed that John must have it and went to his flat on Emperors Gate.
Cynthia let Paul in and led him into the kitchen.
Paul had prepared himself to deal with a cranky and sleepy mate. But, John was clean shaven, dressed casually in a pair of jeans and a jumper. He was wearing his brow lined glasses, turning the pages of that morning's newspaper.
Paul smiled and gently ruffled Julian's hair.
He happily squealed.
He pulled out a chair and joined John and Julian at the table. "Up at a decent hour and dressed. What's the occasion?"
