How are you doing?

Syd
i'm doing pretty peachy, actually. how about you? :•)

Interviewer
I'm doing great too, thanks for asking
How did you first get started with the Beatles?

Syd
well, i suppose this is a typical answer to that, but my dad, really. i grew up around all of the old music and whatnot. the thing is, i wasn't introduced to mainstream Beatles at first. one of the first songs i remember hearing was maxwell's silver hammer and boy, did i hate it. i also remember him playing yellow submarine and yesterday and i wasn't the biggest fan of those either. but believe it or not, how i /really/ got into them was through Michael Jackson. around the time he died, i got super into him and my favorite song was say say say and i was aware of who Paul McCartney was, but i didn't really /care/ until i saw Michael Jackson sing with him. after that, I've always dug the Beatles and all of their solo works. however, when Spotify (FINALLY) put the Beatles catalog up, my obsession just skyrocketed and the rest is history.

Interviewer
Same here! I'm so glad Spotify added their music!

Is there a certain member you identify with the most?

Syd
yes!

and also a yes to that! out of the four of them, i feel like i relate mostly to john. although he isn't my favorite Beatle, i relate to him in more ways than any of the others. the way he thinks being one of them. he's blunt; tells the truth, and doesn't sugar coat it. i'm that way 99% of the time, i believe. and i've certainly got his sarcastic humor, i think. his little cheeky comments in interviews never fail to make me laugh while others may find his words a little offensive or bland.

Interviewer
Do you have a favorite ship?

Syd
i don't necessarily ship any of the band members together romantically, but their friendships are something that are special to me. but romantically, my favorite 'Beatle wife' is probably Olivia. george is my favorite Beatle, and i'm sure i speak for many when i say that it can be hard to even remotely like a woman that they were in a relationship with, but george and Olivia's relationship was just too beautiful for me NOT to love, you know? the way they loved each other and the way they protected each other just... it speaks to me.

Interviewer
Olivia and George were so wonderful together!

Do you have a favorite album?

Syd
i do! sgt. pepper's is my favorite, without a doubt. i feel like that album was the real turning point for the Beatles. revolver was sort of the same in terms of changing directions, but i feel like sgt. pepper's was the beginning of the late Beatles era, per se. there's a lot of amazing songs on that album!

Interviewer
Stg. Pepper's is such an amazing album. Is there a particular song that's your absolute favorite?

Do you have a favorite solo album?

Syd
she's leaving home is definitely a contender for being one of my favorites, but i have a couple from that one particularly. lovely rita, a day in the life, with a little help from my friends.... just the whole album is amazing.all things must pass is probably my favorite solo album from any of them.

Interviewer
All things must pass is an amazing album.
What is a current Beatles story you are writing that you are most enjoying? If there is one, do you want to offer spoilers to people reading it?

Syd
let me roll it seems to be the one everyone likes, and i have to admit that i really enjoy writing it too. and hm... spoilers? i don't think i can do that, simply because i love leaving people with cliffhangers!

Interviewer
That's so unfair. (Kidding.)

I love let me roll it!

What are some of your favourite Beatles stories/authors here on Wattpad?

Syd
thank you, i'm glad you love it! it means a bunch, really. :•)

i've read several stories from several amazing authors, so i can't pick out specific favorites. it's just incredibly hard to pick stand-out authors when every body is so creative and all have wonderful, wonderful stories.
