Olivia's pov
I dropped my beer. It's liquids poured out and shattered glass laid beside me. My stomach turned and I ran downstairs. I felt as though I was going to faint. Where's Emily? Where's Emily? That's all my mind could comprehend. I ran to the kitchen, accidentally bumping into several people.
"Sorry," I muttered each time, even though they couldn't hear me. As soon as I got into the kitchen, I found Emily.
"We have to go. Please," I pleaded.
"Why?" She asked, running out the door with me.
"I saw him. I saw him," I cried out.
"Who? Who did you see?" Emily asked, in panic.
"Grayson," I shouted, but it only came out above a whisper. She rubbed my back.
"Did he see you?" She questioned.
"I don't know. I ran," I replied.
"Lets go back to our dorm," Emily suggested. I nodded my head. We walked past multiple buildings before finding ours. We walked upstairs in silence.

"How do you feel?" Emily asked.
"I don't know. It's painful. I mean, he left me," I muttered.

The next morning
I wake up to find that Emily's gone. I grab my phone. A missed call from Grayson. One new text from her.
She's at a class. This early? Wait! It's about 1pm. How the hell did I sleep this long? Emily's class just finished. Maybe I'll meet her on campus. I get ready to go for a walk. Soon enough, I'm out the door. Fresh air fills my lungs as I step out of the dorm building. Cool grass brushes against my legs. After only a few steps, Emily comes into sight. At first she doesn't notice me, but soon smiles at me. I smile back.
"Hey, how was class?" I ask.
"It was okay. Have you heard about the accident?" She exclaims.
"No. Should I?" I question.
"The whole campus is talking about it! Some guy from our university got into a really bad accident. It was a head on collision! The other driver was drunk and on the wrong side of the highway. Actually, he swerved into the students lane last minute! It happened this morning. Everybody is saying that the student should have died from that collision. Right now he's in critical condition. Rumour has it that he's lost his memory. The drunk driver has been charged already," Emily explains.
"Oh my gosh!" I exclaim, "Do you know who it was by any chance?"
"No, I have no idea," she replied. "Apparently some photos of the cars were leaked. The students was crushed. The front  windows were all smashed, the cars top caved in. He got the worst in it since he was in a car and the drunk driver was in a truck," Emily exclaimed.
"Just wondering... were you eavesdropping?" I ask.
"More like listening to other people's conversations," she shot back.
We laughed.
"Want to grab something to eat?" I ask her.
"Yes!" Emily yelled. "When at I not hungry?"

It becomes more crowded as we enter the "downtown university". Mmm. What's that smell? Emily and I turn our heads towards each other.
"Pizza!" We gasped in unison. We walked across the street to the small pizza restaurant.
"Hello, table for two?" The waiter asks.
"Yeah-wait! Can we sit with them?" Emily asks, pointing to two girls. One had long brown hair and tattoos on her left arm. The other was dirty blonde. My disgusting sister. Just kidding.
"Yeah, of course. As long as they're okay with it," the waiter replies. I ran up behind Avery and tapped her shoulder. She turned her head and her eyes lit up.
"Olivia!" Avery cried out.
"Hey Ave," I laugh and hug her. We haven't seen each other since almost a month ago. She came here earlier than I did. Avery gives Emily a hug.
"Oh! This is Teresa. Teresa, this is Emily and my twin Olivia," Ave introduces us.
"Hi. Nice to meet you," Teresa says.
"Hey. You too," Emily and I reply in unison.
"I think you two should be the real twins at this table," Avery laughs.

We sit down and receive our menus. Hmm. Pepperoni sounds good.
"So, how's university going Teresa?" I ask.
"Not too bad. I have my first class tomorrow. How about you?" she replied.
"My first class is tomorrow too. Yesterday I saw my ex boyfriend," I groaned. Avery choked on her water.
"What? Like Trevor? Did you talk to him?" Ave asks.
"Actually, we saw Grayson. No we didn't, because we left straight after," I explain. Actually. Is he still my boyfriend? We never broke up. But I've been an asshole for since he left and haven't  talked to him. Yeah. He's my ex... but I wish he wasn't.

Now that she's said it, I should have talked to him. My phone buzzed. I grabbed it and checked it. Ethan's calling. That's weird. I ignore it, but it rings again after the first call. Ethan once again. I put away my phone and ignore it. Emily raises an eyebrow at me. I shrug.

It's weird. I've only gotten one call from Grayson today. Normally he calls more often. Maybe he's giving up. Even though I don't want to admit it, I don't want him to give up. I think I'm still in love with him...
