"Paige, will you follow me please?" asked the woman who sent kids away. This can't be good, why can't I just live in one place for more than a few months, I thought to myself as I followed the woman through a dark hall. Everyone calls this hall the "hell hall," because anyone who goes down it never comes back. "Paige do you remember the woman who came to talk to you a few weeks ago," the woman asked Paige, she nodded in response. "That woman would like to take you home with her, would you like her as your mother," questioned the worker, Paige again, shook her head in a 'yes' motion. "Alright, let me tell you about your new mother before you meet her. Her name is Demi, she is in her twenty's, and she is a singer. That's all I know, but you will find out more later, okay" the woman told her, Paige just gave her a small grin. When the woman finished talking they arrived at a small office near the end of the hall, two people were behind the glass window talking, a worker and Demi. When they had finished chatting they both came out of the room to greet Paige and the woman. "It's nice to meet you Paige, I'm Demi, I can be your new mom if you want, would you like that," questioned a giddy Demi. "I-I would love that ma'am," Paige replied, surprising herself for talking, that was rare she was usually too afraid. "You can call me mom or Demi, which ever you like, and I am so glad to have you as a daughter," Demi replied happily, Paige nodded in response. "That is the first time she has talked since she has been here, she must really like you," the two workers chimed in, Demi had a huge smile on her face in response. "Would you like to go to your new home," Demi asked Paige, excited to finally call Paige her daughter after all of the paperwork, court dates, and interviews with social workers. "Yes please, I don't really like it here," Paige remarked, referring to the orphanage, Demi and the workers giggled at her comment, they said their goodbyes and parted ways. Demi and Paige walked out of the orphanage hand in hand.
