As the two got out of the car, Paige stared at the house in amazement of how beautiful it is. Demi laughed at the shocked look on her daughter's face.
"Why don't I show you around," Demi remarked, Paige nodded her head in a 'yes' motion then followed Demi toward the house. Demi took ahold of Paige's hand and guided her through the garage that lead to a door that connected to a large indoor patio. The first thing Paige noticed was the huge inground pool along with a trampoline. Paige's jaw dropped in awe at the sight of the pool and huge trampoline.
"Can you swim," asked Demi when she saw the girl looking at the pool in curiousity.
"No, I've never been in a pool," Paige replied, looking up at Demi in response.
"We are going to have to change that and soon," Demi said and Paige smiled in response. Demi then walked toward the kitchen with Paige trailing behind her. When Paige entered the kitchen she noticed everything was shiney due to the metal the appliences were built out of.
"This is by far my favorite room," Demi exclaimed sounding more like a teenage boy that ate everything in sight.
"The living room is right here," Demi told her daughter while pointing to the large room that connected to the right side of the kitchen. Demi then lead Paige upstairs; the stairs lead to three bedrooms, Paige's bedroom, Demi's bedroom and a guest bedroom which was rarely used. Demi showed Paige all of the upstairs and then walked down the hall from her own room to show Paige her very own room.
"So, this will be your room, bathroom and closet, I know all of these rooms look really plain, but I didn't know what you would like and every girl should get to design their own room. I was thinking we could go shopping for clothes and bedroom stuff sometime soon, how does that sound," Demi asked, while looking at her daughter's bed and two dressers wondering how she would design them and what colors she would make them.
"That sounds amazing I have never gotten new clothes, I made most of mine out of plain white tee-shirts and then spray painted designs on them, and I-wait, I have all three of these rooms to my self," Paige wondered out loud, wondering if this was some evil trick or Demi was just teasing her.
"Yes you do, and you deserve this and more. So, I have a friend coming for dinner tonight, but what do you want to do in the mean time," Demi asked her curiously as the walked downstairs.
"Hmm...the trampoline looks fun but you can pick," Paige replied shyly, not used to being able to have an opinion on anything.
"Trampoline it is," Demi remarked, looking back to look at Paige who had a soft smile etched into her features. Once the two made it to the backyard Demi began to take her sandels off, Paige followed her movements and did the same. After a few minutes both of them were on the trampoline jumping and bouncing around each other squeling as the almost jumped into each other every so often. As Demi turned numerous backflips with ease Paige stopped bouncing and watched Demi, wishing she could do the same.
"Woah, will you teach me that," Paige asked eagerly.
"Sure, come here, I'll help you," Demi replied, realizing her daughter was so much like her, that she could probably be her long, lost twin sister. Paige walked over to where Demi was standing and waited for directions.
"Okay, I'm going to lift you up and you're going to aim your legs backwards," Demi instructed Paige, who nodded in response.
"1,2,3 jump," Demi remarked to Paige, who basically did a backflip by herself.
"Great job, that was good, try to get a little higher," Demi remarked, impressed by her natural atheletism. Paige kept practicing with the help of Demi every so often. Paige started to get the hang of it so Demi sat against the net of the trampoline; watching her daughter try different types of front flips and back flips and other tumbling skills. After awhile Paige collapsed on the trampoline in exaustion, Demi laughed at her dramatization. After she caught her breath she moved to sit next to Demi who put her arm around her daughter as soon as she was in reach.
"Hey, you wanna help me with dinner," Demi asked, while smiling at Paige's red and sweaty face.
"Yes, please," Paige replied while getting off the trampoline. The two headed toward the kitchen and Demi got out the ingredients to make salad.
"Are you making salad,Demi," Paige asked in a curious tone.
"Yes, is that a good thing or a bad thing," Demi asked, remembering she forgot to ask Paige if she liked salad.
"Yeah, I love it," Paige replied as she watched Demi put a hodge podge of vegetables and lettuce into a big bowl. The girls continued talking; after awhile there was a knock on the door.
"That must be my friend, Brittany," Demi thought out loud, as she walked toward the door and heard Paige already back on the trampoline due to the squeaking noise coming from outside.
