The next morning Demi woke up and got dressed, her bags already on the tour bus. Demi waited as long as possible to wake Paige up; when Demi walked into her room and saw how comfortable she looked she decided to carry her to the bus versus waking her up.

"Paige, wake up, we're at the first of four stops," Demi announced as Paige groaned, still not wanting to join the world of the conscious. After a few hours Demi had her normal rocker flare look going and Paige had an elegant but popstar like look going.

"Go rock it, love ya popstar," Demi told her daughter before she stepped out onto the stage.

"How's everyone doing tonight? Who's excited t osee my mom perform? So, this is a song I wrote when I was in the orpanage and times were hard, I hope you can find some hope in it," Paige commented to the audience before she began singing. After a few more songs Paige walked off stage and was greeted by Demi and Cher who both smiled at the girl and offered her hugs. The next three shows went well and Demi was glad to be done and go back home with her daughter. On the way back to their house Demi had realized that Paige had seemed unusually quiet the last few days. After a few minutes of pondering what could be up with Paige she finally decided to ask.

"Hey, you've been really quiet the last few days, what's on your mind."

"Oh, nothing, I'm...just tired. That's all." Paige replied, trying to sound somewhat believable.

"Nice try. What's actually going on?" Demi questioned more sternly.

"During you second while I was on stage some of your f-fans held up signs calling me 'fat' 'ugly' 'worthless' and some other things. But its fine...I- it doesn't really matter or anything." Paige said as casually as possible, trying to downplay her true feelings.

"Sweetheart, why didn't you tell me until now," Demi questioned, feeling guilty for even letting her on stage in the first place.

"I know how much you love your fans and I thought you would be mad and not believe me," Paige replied quietly, her eyes shifting anywhere but toward Demi.

"Okay, correct, I do love my fans; my real fans. If they are hateful toward my own daughter than I don't really see them as my true fans. Secondly, I will always love you more than anything else. Forever and always." Demi stated matter of factly, not leaving room for Paige to question or doubt what she had said.

"I love you mama," Paige replied simply, finally glancing in Demi's direction. She would never get how someone like her had wound up with a mother like Demi.

"I love you too, babygirl. I am so tired, you ready to go to bed?" Demi asked as she opened the door to their house, glad to be back home.

"Yeah, I'll see you in the morning," Paige returned, heading upstairs to change and crawl into bed, thankful to night be sleeping on a tour bus again.

The next morning Demi woke up to the sound of crying coming from Paige's room. Demi had numerous questions, the first being 'why is she crying?' and the second being 'why the hell is she up so early?' Demi rolled out of bed and walked to Paige's room. Demi walked into Paige's room and was hit with immediately overwhelming concern for her little girl. Paige was sat on her bed with large tears streaming down her face causing her body to shake with emotion.

"Sweetheart, what's wrong," Demi asked as she sat next to Paige and pulled her into her lap.

"I think my um, dad, is following us. He-he can't be here, I wasn't supposed to see him ever again. When I looked out my window this morning he was looking straight at me, then he ran off. Please don't let him take me," Paige sobbed into Demi's chest, wishing this was one big nightmare. After everything her dad had put her through she was almost happy again, she almost felt like her old self again. He had to ruin it though, why wouldn't he? He always had in the past.
