J U S T I N
"Hi Justin, this is your mother, it's 2:33 on Monday afternoon. I was just calling to see how you were doing. You sounded really uptight last night. It made me a little nervous, and...well... it made me nervous, and it sounded like you were nevus too. I just wanted to see that you were really okay, and wanted to see if you were checking in on your medication. You know I love you, and... Take care honey. I know your under a lot of pressure. See ya, bye bye"
I listen to the same voice mail for the millionth time before turning it off and shoving my phone into my pocket as I come close to the school entrance.
My ankle hooks around something as I am about to jog up the stairs and I fall, landing on my front using my hands to catch myself before my face has any injuries.
I lay there only a second before removing my ankle from where ever it was and using my arms to push myself up. When I stand I turn to the direction of what tripped me.
There sits a girl, a frightened and shocked look on her face. Her beautiful red hair hangs just past her shoulders, one piece tucked behind her ear. In her ears I can see is headphones which I know she is listening to music. Her green/brown eyes search my face for any reaction, and I know I am showing anger. She has on blue faded, ripped skinny jeans that hug her and yellow Ed Hardy shoes. Her shirt is black and sticking out from under her grey sweater. When I flick my eyes down to her hands sitting in her lap I can see her sleeves clenched into tight fists around her hands, making it impossible to see her wrists.
I take a step towards her. She flinches. My anger softens to this incredibly gorgeous girl in front of me, I can tell she is broken, but why?
I am about to ask her name when the bell rings, she quickly grabs the phone laying on the step beside her that is attached to the headphones in her ears and runs inside. Leaving me standing there alone.
When I decide to go into the school I am crowed with people.
"Yo Justin! Didn't think you'd make it today!" My friend, Josh says from next to me. He brings me into a bro-hug or whatever it is we call them and claps my back before letting me go. Kasey, my past girlfriend started towards me and Josh winked at me before walking off, leaving Kasey and I the only one's in the hallway.
"Hey baby," Kasey cooed as she got closer. Her brown hair with new bleached stretches straitened to her boobs. Her shirt hugged her body, showing her beautiful figure that any guy would want a piece of, her collar was a little reveling, but I can tell she wanted me and the rest of the boys to see. I've heard around she was even trying to impress the girls.
"Uh hey," my voice comes out like a question, like I'm wondering why she is even talking to me, but of course I know the answer.
She presses her body against mine and reaches her head up, puckering her lips and closing her eyes. Even in her heels I'm still taller then her. I don't kiss her and instead push her off of me, walking away from her and towards my locker.
I hear her stomping her feet in a tantrum and screaming inside her mouth. I smirk thinking that I just did this, but just as I'm about to turn the corner, home free from her I hear her shoes clicking fast along the hall making echoing noises as she goes. I role my eyes as her annoying high-pitched voice makes a sound.
"Justin, babe where ya goin? You didn't even give me my kiss," She smiles and comes up behind me, rapping her small thin arms around my waist making me stop my movements.
I turn so I'm facing her, "Look Kasey, your a great girl it's just, I don't like you the way you like me. We're done, we're over and we have been for a few weeks. That's it, done. Goodbye." I pull from her grip and start back towards my locker. I hear her mumbling a few things under her breath that I can't make out but her heels make a clicking noise in the other direction, away from me.
