Who Gets Jealous? (Natsu and Lucy FanFiction)

CHAPTER 8- Face To Face

Natsu wakes up with Lucy in his side. Mixed emotions filled his pounding heart as he stares at his angel lying beside him. He pinches himself to prove he's not dreaming, that everything happening right now is reality and not a dream. And there he proved to himself that everything is truth. Then he roams his look around his girl. He cannot believe his dearly angel who's so sexy yet so nice and all that a guy needs is right in front of him lying together on the same bed facing each other.

'Oh my, God. Happy, where are you? You gotta see this!!! Lucy is lying beside me!!!' He said to himself. Still, he can't believe what's happening.

Suddenly, when he tried to touch Lucy's cheeks, she moved a muscle that made Natsu flinch and stay still so he had to close his eyes carefully as if he never woke up first. And then he felt the soft touch of Lucy's hand on his cheek. The touch is so familiar to him because he always get the chance to hold her hand in most of their work. And butterflies start to play inside Natsu's stomach everytime he feels the same touch.

"Natsu?" Lucy said as she held a soft touch to Natsu's left cheek. And Natsu tries his best not to move an inch.

"Natsu, love, I know you're awake. Now you have to open your eyes... or else..." Lucy adds.

'L-love? She called me Love? What? Lucy?' Natsu wants so speak but he panicks inside his thoughts trying to keep his eyes close like he is truly asleep so he ended up keeping his mouth shut.

"Do you really wanna know what will I do if you keep on pretending you're still in your sweet dreams there?"

Natsu didn't react even if he feels much of Lucy's tempting hands touching his cheek to his nose to his lips. And it made Natsu swallowed which made it more obvious to Lucy that he is already awake.

After a few seconds, Natsu felt a heavy breath that made his heartbeat run to the meter dash waiting for the finish line to step. He knew he's gonna have the best of his best days starting now.

'Shes going to kiss me, man. I knew it.' Hihi. His wildest dreams snapped out, disappeared just like a bubble when he Lucy screamed in his ear making him fell on the ground covering his ears.

"WHAT DO YOU EXPECT ME TO DO NATSU?! WE HAVE NO MONEY LEFT! YOU ARE BEING LAZY THESE DAYS! CANT U EVEN THINK ABOUT MY RENTALS?!"

"LUCY CANT YOU STOP SCREAMING! IM BEYOND AWAKE CANT YOU SEE?" Natsu screamed as well. Maybe frustrations amd expectations made him talk like that. In another second, he asked softly "Is there any other way to wake me up? I'm really sorry. Truly sorry if I am not as responsible as before..."

Lucy was taken aback with the unfamiliar tone and choice of words of Natsu. She thought twice if he's been possessed or what. 'Is the Natsu in front of me the same with the Natsu I'm working with? Okay wooh, wait. Did he just say sorry? Oh my God. Miracles happen, yeah' Lucy thought.

"Oh okay I'm sorry I had to mention it at this moment. You know just eat the breakfast I prepared. Ive been looking for Happy but he's nowhere. Maybe he's having a date or what. Hehe."

Lucy tries to make the mood lighten because secretly, apart from what everyone know, she likes to see Natsu's grin more than anything, not even his grumpy face. But everytime they fight about something, she smiles inside. Feeling grateful they are team mates. 'Only team mates?' Lucy asked herself.

Natsu and Lucy are facing each other in her little dining table where she prepared for Natsu. She secretly made and prepared it with extra care that she only does for Natsu. Meanwhile, Natsu tastes the food and amazed by her cooking skills.

"Mmm, Lucy! You should've learned how to cook like this! You dont know how Happy and me suffered so much with your past cooking skills!"

"Yes, you're awake" Lucy rolls her eyes. Natsu's alive and awake because he's back to his rudeness.

"What?" Suddenly, Natsu remembers the exchanging of number Lucy had with Sting. "Who's the guy?"

"Who's guy?"

"Your clingy boyfriend"

Natsu stops eating and intently looks and glares at Lucy straight into her eyes raising his eyebrow. Lucy stares back at him confused but eventually acknowledge Natsu's reaction.

Lucy smirks.

"You're jealous"
