Chapter 1

hi!! so i'm kait, and i just wanna preface this by saying i wrote this in 2014 when i was 14 years old (i'm 22 now) and i need y'all to keep that in mind when you read this lol. with that being said, i'm so grateful people are still enjoying this so many years later!!! y'all are the best <3 (also if you're looking for something that's less cringe but still wlw with dani, i recommend my other story camp friendship lmao)

Dani POV

"Dani! Hurry up we're gonna be late!" Christina threatened from downstairs.

"I'm coming!!" I shouted back. I finished my makeup and put on my beanie. I ran downstairs.

"Finally, let's go!" Christina walked out the door. The rest of us followed.

We went into the car and Christina started to drive to the studio.

I plugged my headphones in and listened to One Direction. We got there in only ten minutes.

"Okay you guys, today we're gonna finish up 'Daydream'." Christina told us. We all nodded. So far, this is my favorite song on the album. My sisters and I headed into the building and got to the studio.

"Alright Dani, you go first." Lisa said.

"Okay." I put my stuff on the couch and walked over to the mic. I put the headphones on.

I started singing my part.

"I daydream about you until

reality comes and takes you away

I wish you had stayed

I wish I hadn't messed up"

I finished and put the headphones around my neck.

"That was awesome, Dani. Alright, Amy, your turn." Lisa said. Amy walked over and I lowered the mic for her. I headed over by the couch and sat down next to Lauren.

I went on my phone and texted some friends."Dani," Lauren called me. "Wanna go to the bathroom with me?"

"Sure lets go." I said, getting up off the couch. We headed out of the room and down the hall.

"Oh I'm sorry." I said, accidentally bumping into someone.

"It's fine. My fault anyway." The girl said, looking at me. She was the most beautiful girl I've ever seen. Wait, Dani don't you like boys?

"I'm Dani." I introduced myself.

"I'm Kaitlin. And I know who you are, I'm a fan." She said, smiling.

"Then I probably don't need to introduce myself." Lauren said, giggling a little bit.

"So Kaitlin, what are you doing here?" I asked.

"I'm actually recording some songs. I have an EP coming out soon." She told us.

"That's cool. When's it coming out?" Lauren asked.

"April 20th." Kaitlin said. "Lauren, are you okay you look like you're about explode?"

"Yeah just we came out here so I could pee." Laur said.

"Go to the bathroom, I'm gonna talk to Kaitlin a little bit." I told Lauren. She nodded and ran off.

I talked more with Kaitlin. We exchanged numbers before Lauren came back and dragged me back to the studio. Christina got mad at us for being gone so long.

"Sorry we met someone in the hallway!" I defended myself.

After about two more hours, we left the building and went back home. We sat down at the table and started eating dinner. I kept looking at my lap, thinkg about what my family would think if I started to actually like Kaitlin.

"Dani, you okay?" Katherine asked. I looked up and smiled. "Yeah I'm fine." I lied. Actually, I was scared. Scared of what people might think of me.
