Chapter 18

IM SO SICK OF WAITING TILL IM *wait for Luke's high note* eigHTEEEEN (I had to okay)

Kaitlin POV

Today, it finally hit me. Dani didn't love me anymore. I woke up to Luke's arms around me again. I started to cry. He woke up, and saw me crying. "Baby, please don't cry." He started wiping my tears with the pad of his thumb. I let out a choked sob, and Luke pulled me in closer. My head fit into the crook of his neck, while he held me, protectively.

"Please baby girl, shhh it's gonna be okay. It's gonna be okay." Luke whispered. "What's wrong?" He asked, softly. 

"I-I-I miss her. But I really like you." I explained. He gave me a small nod. 

"I'll be back, okay?" He climbed out of the bunk.

Luke POV

"Ash, she misses her." I told him, quietly. 

"And?" 

"It hurts. She said she liked me, but misses her." I explained. He nodded, slowly. 

"Give her time. Just be there for her." He said. I nodded and went back to Kaitlin.

I climbed in the bunk, and pulled her close, closer than I've ever have. "Baby, I'm here." 

"Are-are you mad at me?" 

"For what?" I asked, softly. 

"For missing her." 

"I can't blame you for missing someone." I kissed her forehead.

Dani POV

Today was the day the pain set in. I just laid there, silently crying in my bunk. She doesn't love me anymore. She loves Luke. Kate loves you. A voice in the back of my head said. But she cheated on me. Some people make mistakes.

The crying stopped being silent. I let out a sob. I wish that I could forget about us. Like we were just friends. "Dani." Christina whispered. I rolled over to face her. "Aww Dan. Come here." She sat with me on the small couch, holding me and rocking me back in forth. 

"It's not fair." I said, in between tears. "I-I-I love her and th-then-" 

"I know, I know." She whispered.

"I wish I could forget." I whispered. 

"It hurts to hurt. I get it. At least you had some great memories." Christina said. 

"Yeah, but I wish it wasn't with someone who broke my heart."

Kaitlin POV

After a while, I calmed down, but I was still crying. Luke was still holding me, singing softly.

"I'm gonna pick up the pieces, and build a Lego house. And if things go wrong we can knock it down"

He kissed my forehead. And looked into my eyes. "Beautiful, please don't cry." I nodded, and tried to fall asleep again. Today was a day for crying, a day for missing.

This is the last chapter!!

I'll be making a sequel, three years into the future(Dani-17 Kaitlin-18). That'll be out soon. And I'm sorry for updating daily, and then like not updating for a week. I started high school today.
