BRAD'S POV
I finished telling my story to the policemen outside and watched as they handcuffed my fathers wrists behind his back and shove him into the police car.
"I'LL FUCKING KILL YOU BOTH! I PROMISE! WATCH YOUR BACK!" He shouts, but I can't hear the rest of his threats due to the car door closing.
I sighed and turned to my mother, who was lightly sobbing.
"Hey, hey, it's alright." I say soothingly, bringing my mum into a soft hug, "He's gone now."
"Thankyou." She whispers into my ear and I nod slowly.
I'm such a momma's boy but I honestly don't care, this woman means the world to me and I couldn't let anything hurt her. Other than Alli, I love her the most in the world.
"Miss, we're going to have to ask a few questions now." The police officer who interviewed me interrupts our hug and my mother sniffles and turns to him.
"Of course." She smiles slightly and follows him into a corner.
I sit down on the curb and rub my hands over my damp eyes, god I wish I'd stop crying.
I really just need Alli right now.
ALLI'S POV
I slam my textbook shut and lay back on my bed with a groan. I'm trying to finish my trig homework but all I can think of is Brad. Brad, Brad, Brad, Brad, Brad.
No trigonometry, just Brad. How is he doing? Is he as miserable as I am right now? Is he wanting me in his arms? Does he need me? Because I sure as hell need him.
"Think of something else." I whisper to myself, sounding absolutely crazy, but I really don't care right now.
I hear a knock at the door and quickly go to answer it, hoping that somehow it was Brad coming to see me.
"Rachel." I try not to sound disappointed when I see Rachel standing hopefully at the door with a sympathetic smile on her face.
"Dinner's ready." She says kindly and I follow her to the table, leaving behind my impossible maths homework but unfortunately not the thoughts about my boyfriend.

"Did you speak to Amy today?" Rachel asks before swallowing a mouthful of pasta and wiping her mouth neatly with a napkin.
"Yeah." I sigh, putting down my knife and fork as Rachel shoots me an interested look. "She's staying with... a friend for a while." I leave out the Jaxon and the boyfriend part, because I have no doubt that Rachel will be excited to meet said boyfriend until she finds out it's Jaxon and is disappointed, and all though we're in a fight I will protect Amy. "She feels as though we are... 'critiquing' her too much. She'll be back though."
I hear police sirens wailing nearby in the distance, but it does not phase me as I figure they are passing by.
"Oh." Rachel says sadly, "I didn't think-"
"It was mainly me, don't blame yourself." I cut her off without letting her finish the question, although I knew what she was going to say.
"I see."
"I'm really sorry, Rachel."
"It's okay." She smiles sincerely at me and I know she really does mean it.
I am about to open my mouth when I realize that the sirens are nearly right outside our house now, but they haven't faded out over the past minute. One look at Rachel tells me she's thinking the same thing.
