NOTE: I was listening to The Pretty Reckless & I came across this lovely song (In the sidebar). In my opinion, it fits Andy perfectly; seeing how he wants Ruthy back & everything. For everyone who's read since my story was first posted, I changed her age to 18. I'm sorry if it confuses you. But don't worry, she graduated so there won't be any high school drama :) OH! And another thing, The little fight scene that's after The 1st paragraph,  I used the fight scene in the extended version of Rebel Love Song.

"I know I fucked up this time
Just give me one more try
I know you've made up your mind
So leave me here behind you"

-Ruthy's POV-

The streetlights sent pools of bright patches of gold onto the pavement, flickering slightly. The moon shone bright, surrounded by a cluster of twinkling stars. A lone car shone its headlights as bright as a wolf's piercing, hungry eyes as it sped through the moon soaked streets. I approached an isolated park which was hard to be distinguished due to the musty black air surrounding my freezing body. In the silence I could hear the wind blowing through the trees & every now again a dog would bark making me jump.

Suddenly, a bottle is thrown at my feet, shattering into millions of pieces. I stop dead in my tracks, frozen by fear. I look over to my right, staring face to face with Derron, my ex boyfriend of two years. He looked like a cat that was dipped in shit. He held a half empty beer bottle in his hand,  while surrounded by six empty ones & with him were three muscled football players from our school. Soon, they all surrounded me in a circle. I was trapped like a science lab rat.

"Look who it is,guys. Little dark & pale is gonna bone us all night in the park." Derron sneered, evil glistening in his bright green eyes.

"Well, you guys look like you don't need help with that." I shrugged, "Just do each other." One of them chuckled & drew nearer to my face, his foul breath murdering my nostrils.

"Dirty words for such a....pretty mouth."

"She can say whatever she wants." Another replied, grasping the right shoulder of my shirt & tearing it, leaving me exposed. Glass exploded behind the one that ripped my shirt, someone hit a bottle over his head. He turned just in time to be tackled by a figure dressed in black. One by one  Derrin's trio pounced on him like a pack of rabid dogs.

"Run home, Ruthy, now hurry!" He shouted. That voice, deep & masculine, was Andy's.It was Andy that saved me.  I tried to run but my legs wouldn't budge. I was paralyzed with fear.

"GO!" He practically screamed. I was able to regain control of my legs & I ran. Away from the park, Derron & his trio of deviants, in all the while leaving Andy behind to fight alone.

-Andy's POV-

I woke, I could feel the sunlight on my face. I sensed something was not right. My god where am I? I bolt upright frantically looking around when it slowly dawned on me- Suddenly, interrupting my thoughts, there was a loud knock on the door.

"Come in," I croaked. My lips were very dry & my throat was very sore. The door slowly opened & the first thing I noticed was big black hair sticking into every direction & instantly, I knew who it was-Jake. His pale face slackened; his brow furrowed - eyes darting about in concern.

"Dude, are you okay?" No, I wasn't okay. My throat & head were killing me, I had bandages around my right hand for some reason I didn't know. I shook my head, then lifted it.

"Jake, what happened last night?"  He closed the door quietly & walked over to sit on the edge of the bed. I felt like a child whose parents were about to tell him his pet dog died over night, but from the look on Jake's face; it was far more serious than that.

"Well Andy, you um-" He cleared his throat & wasted no time to continue. "Last night, you didn't come back so we went looking for you. CC was the one that found you in the park. You had a black eye & your shirt was ripped to shreds, revealing the cuts on your chest & stomach. It wasn't until we brought you home that we noticed the gash on your hand." I sat there in silence, last night coming back to me like a forgotten childhood memory. Images of seeing Ruthy for the first time since the last three years, the fight with the four perverts in the park, getting my ass handed to me on a silver platter and- Jesus Christ, did Ruthy even make it home?

"Jake, is Ruthy okay? Please fucking tell me that she's okay." Jake's eyebrows were fused together in confusion. Shit, I forgot that I never told the boys about Ruthy.

   "Andy, what are you-"

"Forget it," I chuckled & shook my head, "it's nothing. I guess it was just a dream. I'm actually kinda tired. Can you please close the door on your way out? Thanks, man." He nodded & walked out, closing the door silently. I laid my head down & closed my eyes, hoping that Ruthy was alright.

I was in complete bliss, no words could describe how I felt right now. But in the back of my mind, I knew it had to end. I looked down at Ruthy one last time. She was on my chest, her face buried deep into the hollow base of my throat. My plane was leaving for Cali. in an hour, I had to leave. I moved slowly out from under Ruthy, extremely cautious to not wake her up. I got dressed, kissed her forehead, whispered that I loved her & left. On the way down, I could hear her calling my name. My heart ached with regret & it took everything I had to keep myself from running back up the steps & tell her I'd never leave her. I closed the door with slam & got in my car, driving away from my one & only love, but getting closer to my dream.

I groaned loudly & rolled over, opening my eyes. It must've been at least 2:00PM, I only slept for four hours. I got up walked to the bathroom to take a shower. (I bet half of you are imagining Andy naked... no? Well now you are XD) After the relaxing shower, I dried off & put on a white v-neck, black vest, perfectly good black jeans that I ruined by cutting holes in the knees, & my tattered cowboy boots. Everything was quiet in Jake's apartment, there was no noise or anyone at all.

Hm, strange. I thought, & left to find Ruthy.

Ruthy's POV

I was pretty shaken up from last night, but I managed to walk into work with my head held high. Okay, I spent the whole time in the back crying, but at least I made an effort. After my tear fest, I came back to handle the register. I was sketching when I noticed two hands with black nails, fingers drumming on the counter. It was really fucking annoying. I let a irritated sigh & recited my dull lines.

"Hi, welcome to Red Stripes, LA's number one Goth store. How may I help you?" Man, I really hate saying that.  There was no response. Did they leave? I looked up & met startling blue eyes.  Reaching over the counter, my arm's wrapped around Andy's neck, just as they did three years ago. His arms rested around my waist, a feeling I longed for.

"Are you okay?" He whispered into my hair, which suddenly felt wet. Andy was crying. This, made me cry.

"I'm fine," I sniffled, "are you?" He only nodded as we pulled away.

"I need to talk to you." He looked down & rubbed his fingers together. He looked as if he might be sick.  "Will you come by my house tonight around eight?" His voice was so earnest.

I nodded. He smiled & walked away. What did I get myself into?
