Chapter 5

My heart hammered in my chest as I stared at the old oak door and even from outside I could smell him.

His woodsy scent invaded my senses as I fought to stay upright,  however as I stood outside the door I could smell his scent mixed with someone elses but I shrugged it off assuming I was being paranoid.

Never in my life had one door felt so daunting however I knew this needed to be done one way or another. I knew eventually I would have to talk to him no matter how many times I avoided him I wouldn't be able to continue this game forever.

Before I could even muster the courage to knock and talk to Jason about the situation we were now put in the door swung open as I came face to face with a petite human girl still wearing last nights attire and the heavy scent of alcohol still lingering on her.

At first I felt hurt which then switched to fury, I kept my face impassive when a grinning Jason crept up behind her and snaked his arm around her waist seemingly about to say goodbye until he noticed me.

I felt his eyes bore into the side of his face as I observed the human she was exceedingly pretty with looks that could compete with most werewolves her long red hair floated down all the way to her waist making her green eyes pop she also had killer curves however she was extremely short.

Turning to face Jason who now had shock written all over his face I raised a perfectly shaped eyebrow at him and narrowed my eyes in his direction in disgust.

"Baby who's this?" the human said her voice was annoyingly high pitched and never have I ever wanted to rip someone's throat out as much as I did in that moment. 

In the back of my mind I could hear Jason's wolf calling out to mine but my wolf had been surprisingly quiet and was completly ignoring him.

"So did you have fun last night Jason?" I asked cooly my gaze set firmly on him.

"It's not what it looks like please let me-"

"Incase you havent realized I don't owe you anything and you'd do well to remember that I actually came over to talk to try and figure this out" I could feel the rage building up inside of me but I made sure none of my inner turmoil was on show as I gave him a fierce glare

"Baby I thought you said you don't have a girlfriend?" This time the human spoke up again. 

" Oh he doesn't he's all yours honey have fun with jerkface over there"

With that I blew him a kiss and walked over to my car speeding off as I finally let the tears spill and my anguish take over.
