*The Patchim Rule*
Note: Guys, I really want you to remember all the bolded words for you to remember in case na may ma-meet kayong word na belong sa Patchim rule. Cge, Kamsaaaaaaa ~
--------------------------------
Anyway guys, what is Patchim nga pala? Sa pagkakaalam ko, Patchim rule is the rule of the Korean people about changing the original sound or pronounciation depending on the next letter of it. Parang ginagamit nila ito para mas mapadali sa kanila ang pagbabasa. Guys, honestly mahirap matutunan to than the previous chapter kasi, yung iba, hindi mo alam kung babaguhin mo ba yung sa first letter or yung second letter. But, I've practiced naman so may ma'sha-share pa rin ako senyoo ~ Hehehe :)) cge na, 존배, 시작 ! [jonbae, shijak! (ready, Start!)]
a.) when ㄱ , ㄷ , ㅂ is before the letter of ㄴ / ㅁ, ㄱ becomes "ㅇ which sounds as NG" , ㄷ becomes "ㄴ which sounds as N" and ㅂ becomes "ㅁ which sounds as M".
Nakakalito no? :P oh, shige. I'll explain.
Examples:
the word '착년' is spelled as "ch , a , k , n , yeo & n". So literally, it is read as "Chaknyeon".
*[ LELS ! naisip ko tuloy si Chanyeol sa word nato, Bwahaha ! xD cge'2, tama na muna ang KPop. Let's study first :) ]
But guys, with the Patchim rule, tha last part of the first block is the letter 'ㄱ', and the letter next to it is the letter 'ㄴ'. So, when we read, it will become "CHANG-NYEON". Remember guys? sa rule na nasa itaas? when ㄱ is before of ㄴ or ㅁ , it will sound as NG.
Eto, I know some of you guys eh, nalilito pa sa word na "kamsahamnida". Ang spelling nito is "감사합니다"dba? Guys, please focus on the bolded part. Dba, it is spelled as "h , a , b , n & i". The 3rd block which lasted with a letter of "ㅂ" and next to it was started with a letter of " ㄴ". So, it will sound as M and read as "KAM-SA-HAM-NI-DA"
eto pa, familiar the word 'geotman'? The root word of it is "것 geot". Let's just focus on the root word muna, okay? Para mas maintindihan naten :) Okay, so base on the previous chap is when letter 'ㅅ' is in the last part of a block , it will sound as "T". And now guys, with the linking word of it na " 만 man" is starting with a letter "M". So when we read it, "GEOT" & "MAN". But with the Patchim rule, when T is before of a letter M, it will sound as 'ㄴ- N'. So, it is read as "GEON-MAN".
so, gets na ? Ang hirap mag'explain pag hindi sa personal >////////< First rule plang yan ng Patchim >.<
b.) when letters ㄱ , ㅁ , ㅂ , ㅇ is before of letter ㄹ, the letter ㄹ will turn into 'ㄴ- N' sound.
Example:
the word '음료수'
[A/N: Please note the placeholder at the first block, which sounds as SILENT.]
okay, the word '음료수' is spelled as "eu , m , r , yo , s , u". So literally, we will read it as "Eumryosu". Guys, try to speak it slowly. Dba mahirap? So with the help of the Patchim rule, as stated above na when letter ㅁ is before of letter ㄹ, it will turn into ㄴ- N sound. So now, it is read as "EUM-NYO-SU".
c.) when ㄹ is followed by a letter ㄴ or ㄴ is followed with a letter ㄹ, the letter ㄴ will change as letter "ㄹ-L".
Example:
the word "설날" is spelled as 's , eo , l , n , a , l'. Literally, we read it as "seolnal" which is wrong. The first block ended with a letter ㄹ and the 2nd block started with a letter ㄴ. So, letter ㄴ will turn into a sound of letter ㄹ. So now, it is read as "SEOLLAL".
---------
Okiiiiiiiiii ~~ ! yan muna guys, sumasaket ulo ko sa kaka'explain >.< Pero okay lng, basta ba para senyo eh , handa akong mag'share :)
[LOL! xDD pero totoo, masaket na ulo ko -.-]
Anyways suitcase, magpapahinga muna c akeetch ! Cge na, 잘짜요 ! :)))
