I woke up this morning and felt sick to my stomach.
Morning sickness?
Could it be true?
Am I pregnant?
I walked to the nearby drugstore hoping no one saw me and bought a pregnancy test.
Here goes nothing I thought.
I looked down to see the results.
There was a plus sign.
I am pregnant.
I went to find Daddy.
"Daddy I have something to show you."
"I have a photo shoot in a few minutes princess but I always make time for you."
I showed him the test. "Look at this."
He was surprised at first but quickly shook it off.
"You told me this may happen."
"Yes. I kind of wish it hadn't though."
"I know but in life we make mistakes and learn from them. But know I will always love you."
"I know daddy." I hugged him.
"You could get an abortion if you wanted."
"No it's my wee one. I want to keep it."
"Ok princess it your decision."
Daddy called the photo shoot ones and said he would be late. He made an appointment for me to see the doctor. I'm leaving for the doctor soon. I was shocked at first but the more I think about it I really love the wee one. Even though I haven't even seen him or her yet and I just found out today. It's amazing. What's also amazing is that even though daddy obviously never had a wee one lol, and he meant it more along the lines of a significant other one, his song "I knew I loved you" perfectly captures the thoughts and feelings of someone who is having a wee one.
Daddy's songs are so amazing :)
