Ashley's POV
I flinch in pain as the nurse changes my bandages.
I look up at the ceiling trying not to think of the pain.
I really wanted Ryder to hold me right now. But he was at home sleeping cause it was 4 in the morning.
After the nurse gets done changing my bandages she leaves.
I stare up at the ceiling.
Why did I have to get shot? Why did Ryder have to watch?
I sigh and close my eyes letting sleep take over.

I wake up to a sound. I sit up and rub my eyes.
I look around my room to find Ryder stuffing something in his pocket.
"What are you doing?" I ask him.
He stops what he's doing and looks up at me.
"Um....nothing...."
I raise my eyebrow at him.
"Sure......"I say totally not convinced.
He clears his throat and walks over to the side of the bed.
"Ashley?"
"Yes Ryder?"
He gives me a nervous smile. I give him a suspicious look. Hmm.
He gets down on one knee. I gasp. Is he doing what I think he's doing.
He then takes out a small box out of his pocket.
He opens it and there sits a diamond ring. I put my hands to my face in shock.
"Ashley you make me so happy. You are everything to me. I want to wake up to you everyday and see your beautiful face. I want to make you dinner and breakfast. And I want to call you my wife. Will you marry me?"he says happily.
I start to tear up. Tears of joy of course.
"Yes of course I'll marry you"I squeal.
Ryder stands up and hugs me.
I'm so happy. I always waited for this day to happen.
5 years later
"Lucy don't touch that"I yelp running to Lucy my 4 year old daughter.
Lucy giggles as I pick her up in my arms.
"Sorry mama"she says.
I sigh and kiss the top of her head.
"What's going on in here?"a deep familiar voice says. The voice belonged to my husband. Ryder.
I turn and see he's looking right at me.
"Daddy"Lucy squeals jumping out of my arms and running to Ryder.
Ryder smiles and picks her up.
"Hello princess"he says.
Lucy grins and lays her head on his shoulder. Ryder looks up at me.
"I love you"Ryder says while rubbing Lucy's back.
I grin. "I love you to."
The thing is I don't know what life has in store for me and Ryder.
But all I know is I'll love him forever and always.
