Years and years ago, when war was waged, people thought of a way to create the utopia they had all dreamt of living in. They created a society that divided a city into five different ways of living - five different factions that believed in different causes of the war. The Amity believed that the cause was aggression, the Abnegation believed that it was selfishness, the Erudite believed that it was ignorance, the Candor believed that it was dishonesty, and the Dauntless believed that it was cowardice.

Liana Hood was brought up with the values of the Amity; she was brought up in a place where peace and oneness with nature were important values to uphold. Now, she is faced with a great responsibility - one that could change her life and her future.

Choices are made, plans are foregone, things are met with regret, and Liana is not safe anymore. Will she ever be able to make things right again?

Let me start off by saying this: I have tried multiple times to write a 5SOS fan fiction, but none of my past works actually appealed to me, so, selectively speaking, this is my first ever 5SOS fan fiction.

The next few things I would like to mention are a couple of disclaimers.

Firstly, this book is written for entertainment purposes only. I am in no way receiving any form of payment or advantage from writing this book. This is a work of fiction by a fan and nothing more.

Secondly, I do not own Divergent. All the dialogue, ideologies, characters, etc., that reflect that and are part of the actual Divergent series were written, thought of, and created by the phenomenal Veronica Roth. Some things may be changed slightly as to fit the plot of this fan fiction, but I mean no copyright infringement. Once again, this is solely for entertainment purposes only. Written by a fan for fans.

Thirdly, I most definitely do not own 5 Seconds of Summer (although I wish I did lol I mean who doesn't), but this story is a work of fiction set in an alternate universe. All the band members' lives will be altered and many things will be different from real life, but hey, what's the point of it being set in an alternate universe if everything would just be the same?

Lastly, there are some stuff I would like to point out before I begin this:

(1) I know that Divergent is set in Chicago/the USA and (2) I know that 5 Seconds of Summer are from Australia but (3) Once again, this is an alternate universe fan fiction, so (4) That really shouldn't matter.
