"YOU'RE THE ONLY TEN I SEE!"

"Horrible," Parth laughed. "I've got one better."

The wedding party had a bonding activity scheduled at the country club. It was going well until the groomsmen had gotten sidetracked with coming up with corny pickup lines.

The wedding party is quite large. Well bigger than what I'd expect at a traditional American wedding. Maybe six bridesmaids and six groomsmen. Nope, not in a Jesudasen becoming an Anthony wedding. Fourteen groomsmen and fourteen bridesmaids; making that a total of 28 members of the wedding party, not including the bride and the groom of course. That fact in itself should make it exciting and a little bit insane.

Simirn had been wearing white since yesterday, and it seemed like it was her goal to wear it for the rest of the week leading up to Friday, the first day of her wedding.

"It's time, everyone," Simirin swung Ajay and her entwined hands back in forth with excitement as she prepared to make, what looked like, a big announcement.

"Time to find out who your partner is for the wedding march!"

Everyone clapped, making Simirin's smile widen.

"Awesome! I'm glad everyone's excited. When I call the couples, please try to hang out with each other as much as possible throughout the week before the wedding on Monday!"

Parth most likely will be my partner. I mean why wouldn't he be? Simirin already knows I'm interested.

"First couple: Parth and Aishwarya," time might as well have stopped as I watched Aish walk over to stand beside Parth.

"Second couple: Yasmine and Ian."

"Third couple: Elil and Nishi."

Ten pairs later and I knew my fate was sealed. I was partnered up with Graham.

His arm attempted to wrap around my shoulder, but I dodged it with a rueful smile on my lips.

"Play nice, Annie." Simirin sent a smile over her shoulder to who knows who.

"Listen, Primavera," I point my finger at his chest.

Graham pulls me by my pointer finger to a quiet corner, before I can finish.

He clears his throat, eyes turning serious.

"Annie, it's your best friend's wedding, mine as well. I understand you don't like me for whatever reason, but can you deal with me for just this week?"

I cross my arms, rolling my lips into my mouth.

"I don't think that's possible. I want to be with Parth."

"Well, you're with me."

I looked across from where I was standing to see Parth and Aishwarya in an intimate embrace. Urgh.

"Parth, let me go!"

Yes, please let her go. Hug me instead.

I found myself leaning in that direction, a look of yearning evident on my face.

"Annie, babe, You okay?"

"Ew."

"Wait, oh, I get it now."

"What do you get now?"

"You; you like Parth," Graham says it as if I am a middle school girl whose crush's name he is holding as leverage against them.

"What? Really? Please don't tell him," I playfully push his chest.

"W- wait you don't care that I know that you like Parth?"

I roll my eyes as I shrug.

"I'm twenty-one years old, Graham," I sigh humorously patting his shoulder.

"Not Eleven," I finish, turning on the heel of my sandal for dramatic effect.

What can I say I have a flair for the dramatics.
