Chapter 4- Finding him

"What are you wearing?" Nagtatakang tanong ko. Nasa costume party ba siya? Grabe. He is wearing sharp teeth, long fingernails, and how did he make his plumes like that?

"Aren't you supposed to be.. scared?" I just stare at him.

"I'm sorry but, is this your house?" I asked nicely. "Our castle.." Another guy appeared in his back. Like him, he is also wearing a beast costume. I frown.

"I'm sorry for entering without your permission, but in any case did you two see my brother?" I said again, nicely. Nagkatinginan yung dalawa. "And oh! Ganto siya katangkad!" I put my hands above trying to reach my brother's height. "He's tall and he has brown skin! Umm, when he smiles, his two deep dimples show up, and... he looks like an idiot when serious." I said describing Lexis. Yung dalawang lalaki naman ay nakatingin lang sakin na para bang may mali sa mga sinabi ko. I sighed, baka hindi nila nakita.

"It's okay, I'll go find him somewhere. Sorry ulit sa abala." I passed them and they just looked at me with their mouth open. Mas muka pa silang mga tanga kesa kay Lexis e, promise. Para silang mga baliw na sinapian na ewan.

"Wait, miss! We saw him!" Because of that, I turn again to face them. "Your brother, I mean." He added. My eyes twinkled.

"Really?" Agad ko silang nilapitan. Para naman silang nailang at sabay pang napa-hakbang paatras. "A-ah yes. Ang totoo niyan, kinulong namin siya." It took me seconds before I completely got what he mean.

"You just mean— kinulong niyo siya?!' I growled at them. Their eyes widen and took another step backward. Natakot ko ata sila.

"B-because he planned to steal an apple.." The other guy on the back said, explaining. My forehead knotted. What he said buffers on my mind. Dahil don bumagsak ang mga balikat ko. Nalagay siya sa alanganin ng dahil sakin? Tama ba? Because.. they said apple and.. Oh God! Kasalanan ko nga ito!

"Please take me to him! Please!" I pleased. Nagkatinginan silang dalawa. "Follow us." Sabay lakad nila. Naka-sunod lang ako. Umakyat sila sa isa pang hagdan. Hindi ko maiwasang mapatingin sa paligid. This area is really clean but, I can't see colors. Walang buhay ang kastilyong to. They were using lanterns for light, I guess. Siguro tuwing gabi lang nila sinisindihan.

Kasalukuyan kaming naglalakad sa isang makipot na hallway, sa kaliwa't kanan namin ay mga kulungan. It's creeping me out. Para itong underground basement dahil madilim. But definitely, it's not underground dahil nasa taas kami. I guess they put my brother on the nib. Sa pinaka dulong selda.

"There." Napatingin ako sa lalaki. Lumapit ako sa kanya at napatingin sa loob ng isang selda.

"Lexis!" I shouted. He's sitting at the corner while his head is resting on the wall, sleeping. Natunugan ata niya ang boses ko. He opened his eyes and looked at me. Agad akong lumapit sa rehas. But my forehead knotted when he said, "Fucking illusion. Pati si Alexa nakikita ko na ngayon." He's looking straight at me with his sad eyes. Seriously?!

"Fuck you Lexis it's really me! Tumayo kanga diyan!" Nanlaki ang mga mata niya. He immediately run towards the grate, right infront of me. Hindi siya makapaniwala. I reached him to held his face.
