It's All In My Mind

Change Pt. 2

As I see the people around me,
I notice the world is a diverse place
That change is unlimited and it speaks for itself
Whether it's a good or a bad way

And now I'm sitting here,
Focused on things that aren't worth the wait,
Someday prioritize the things that matter most and I know will stay

They say, they feel, they do,
I guess I'm influenced because of their words,
Not knowing the whole story and how it affects me

I second guess
Everything around me
But they are looking out
They know what's best,
But not always

Change, I gotta change,
To better myself and to feel the eternal joy that I know is lurking somewhere.

I know what is wrong
And I do know what's right,
But I disregard them sometimes.

I stay when I shouldn't,
And I'm used like a chess piece,
Never really having control to where I want to be.

And then there is other factors that come into play
And I wait till the end of the day,
Till I'm cracked and torn to fully realize my mental mistakes.

I gotta take the initiative.
And I know it's coming soon
But I have to be the one to trigger it
And ignite it
And burst inside me.
