"Stop, you're gonna flood the table," Aiden warns, walking past me, I flash him a sharpish smile and finish wiping the table, moving on to the next table.

Work has been extra boring and felt extra long, I feel like I've been here forever. I missed Kai this morning since he went to work extra early, mentioning something about a very important meeting, while I started work a little later than usual.

I lazily continued wiping a table when suddenly arms wrapped around me, causing me to yelp and before I was about to hit the stranger with the cleaning spray, I got turned around to find a brimming Kai staring at me.

"Why are you so happy?" I ask, narrowing my eyes at him

He continues to smile and pulls me into a tight hug, "I'm so happy," he whispers, he pulls back, "Ava Dawson, you're staring at the original owner and CEO of Royals empires,"

I look behind him and look around slightly, "Squidward? His here?" I gasp, looking around

He narrows his eyes at me, his smile not falling still, "Squid-?," he pulls a confused face but just shakes his head and continues, "Never-mind I mean me," he grinned

I smile back at him, "Okay congratulations Mr CEO, take a seat I'll get you your coffee, if you haven't realised I am currently working," I show him the spray bottle and wipe, walking away to prepare his usual.

"Awh, you guys are so sweet, I think I have diabetes," Rhys teases, leaning against the counter, facing me

"Awh Rhys, since you have diabetes you wanna hand over your secret sweet stash to me, you know cuz, don't want you dying or anything," I give him a serious look and nod my head

His mischevious smile falls and he glares at me, " Never,"  he walks away to serve a customer

I pick up Kai's drink and walk up to his usual table, where he was on his phone typing away, a neutral look on his face, once he notices my presence he places his phone on the table and smiles at me

"Order up," I place his coffee on the table and return his smile

"Why don't you take a seat," he gestures to the seat in front of him, I open my mouth to refuse but, "I'm sure Aiden won't mind," groaning I take a seat only promising few minutes

"So, since I've become the official CEO, I have to hold party," he starts, sipping on his drinking

Knowing where he's going with this I speak up, "Oh cool, I'll help you pick out your outfit and send you along, I wish you all the best for this party," putting my hands together I bow my head.

"Oh no you don't," he shakes his head at me, "you're my date", I groan in response and slouch against my seat.

This means leaving the comfort of my bed and getting out, oh no this also means shopping!

No!

"Yes and there's still time till the party so you have plenty of time to buy yourself a dress," he smiles mischievously.

Stupid rich people and their useless parties

Suddenly I feel shadow behind me, "Mind if I join?"

"Yes, there's a seat outside, run along now," I wave, pointing outside

"Awh, no need to be so rude," He pouts, pulling a chair up to sit besides me
