Chapter Two
The boys were on their fourth song.I had to admit,they were good.Really good.I even hummed along to some of their songs. They were energetic and lively.I could now see why Amanda made a big fuss about this band.What were they called?Oh,You Me At Six.
"Amanda," I started once they took a break,but I was interrupted by the lead singer.Er,Josh.Josh Franceschi.
"Everyone having a good time?" asked Josh,with a really handsome smirk on his face.The crowd went ballistic.Cheers erupted,girls screamed,guys hollered,and a few "I love you's" went to the boys. Most to Josh,Dan,Max and Matt.But,wasn't there a fifth member? I looked all the way to my left,almost bumping into Amanda.Sure enough,there was a guy,probably in his early twenties with long hair and a guitar strapped to his back.He was smiling timidly at the crowd.Who was that again?
Before I knew it,the cheers grew louder and louder.Amanda was practically shrieking. What the hell?
"Krisssyyyyy" Amanda turned to look at me,= with pleading eyes.I knew that look.
Crap
"What?" I asked ignorantly.I had stopped listening to Josh talking,his voice was now mere background music.
"Enter the contest?Please"
"What contest?" What the hell was she talking about?
She eagerly filled me in on the details.Apparantly,Josh had said that whoever got their names picked out a hat would be able to meet the band backstage.VIP passes.
Quite mediocre,I thought.But,what the hell.There were about 300 people here.There was no possible way we'd get picked.
"Sure,why not?Go put our names in,I'll save your seat."
Krissy ran to the corner of the stage,where a line had begun to form.I took this time to get a drink of water and check my phone for any messages.None.
Krissy came back,her face flustered.She was just bubbling excitement and nothing could put her mood down.
Within 20 minutes,Josh was back up near the microphone with the hat.
Within 15 more,he had finished explaining the contest again.
And within 5 more,he called Amanda Pellrano and Kristen Thomas to the stage.
