chapter 20
I had somewhat of a plan to what I was doing, but it all depended on of I was an alien or not. I kind of wanted to be one, because I didnt want to die right now. I still wanted to own a potato farm in Idaho. ( long story. dont even try to ask) so I took a deap breath before I jorneyed outside. trust me, I looked for a breathing apparatis, but no such luck. I quickly tied the long length of rope into a lasso with plenty of rope left as a sort of tail. i quickly hid out of sight from the exit, because of course Ryan would go after me for one reason or the other.
as soon as he ran out to see if i was a martian, i took out the lasso and quickly lassoed him tightly around his stomach with his arms pinned to his sides.
"what?" ryan looked at the rope in confusion until he saw me. i leaned into his face so close that i could smell his hair.
"go ahead, scream for your friends." i soon realized that i was breathing the air and not colapsing or any kind of form of dying. i was a true martian
put it out of your mind for now, kristen. you can freak out later.
"they are already coming." he said. apparantly he had been telling the truth, because they did come. lucky for me, they had been running so fast that they could not slow down in time, because they ran right into the rope that i had streached out between me and Ryan. they instantly tripped over it and were so disoriented that i had enough time to wrap them up in the rope so they did not warn any authorities. i kind of wanted my arrival to be secret so i could possibly steal a plane and go back home. how i would opperate it? i had no clue, but it was the only plan that i had at the moment.
"let us out!" screamed blondie. i did a perfect eye roll at her. "why do people say that, anyway." i acted innocent for a moment or two."why of course I wil let you go without any argument! i was just playing a little game with you!" i let out a semi hystarical laugh "no" i said with my stone hard facial expression
annie looked a little shocked, but thats me. if you dont like it, deal with it.
"first, you are going to tell me the truth. dont try to trick me. i can detect when you are lying and i can make a full grown man cry by just telling him that he was lying." the sad thing is, this is all the truth. the poor guy didnt know what was in for him when he called me a little girl. sure, i was eleven, but that gives him no excuse. that day, revenge was sweet.
Ryans chin momentaraly thudded to his cheast as he let out an exausted sigh. then he looked back up at me. "what do you want to know." i gripped the leather handle of a small dagger that Lily had given me. it somehow managed to stay in a hidden compartment in my ninja jacket that I still had on along with the uniform that they had out for me (I am going to murder whoever suggested this)
"am i on Mars."
silence
"yes"
