JADE! YOU REALIZE IF YOU DO THIS, YOU'LL BECOME A MONSTER LIKE OBTAVIOUS MENTIONED!" a male with brown with tears coming from his eyes yelled to his bluenette sister. "I-I'm sorry, Jack, but whatever decision I'm making and whoever I become in the future, remember it's NOT me," the bluenette placed on a sincere smile that little did the male know was the last sincere one she would put on her face.

The next day, Chloe looked at the mission board to see if there was a mission she could've gone on. France was at the mission board as well but was struggling until he found a flier that interested him but unfortunately, it was a mission for 2 people and above. He looked over his left shoulder and noticed Chloe was standing there, also looking for a mission to do. "Hey, Chloe?" France called her name. Chloe turned to France. "Yeah?" she replied. France looked at the flier in his hands and looked back at Chloe, making eye contact. "Since everyone else had stuff to do, wanna go on this mission with me?" he asked as he handed Chloe the flier to see if it would interest her. Chloe took the flier from his hand and read it. "Yep, I would definitely want to go on this mission with ya!" she said. France smiled. "Alright then, let's go!" he said excitedly. Chloe put her finger on his lips. "Shhh, we don't want people to assume things." she said. France nodded and they both went to the Principal's office.

An hour later, France and Chloe arrived to the destination, which was a temple, and headed inside. "Damn, this place is......barren....How long has it been abandoned!?" Chloe asked while touching the dust and webs on the walls. "From what the flier said, there's someone causing trouble to the temple and apparently people live here?" France replied with a questioned expression. "Doesn't make sense in person but in the flier it makes a lot of sense. What family would want to live here?" Chloe said. France shrugged. "Why don't we investigate ourselves and see who we can find that's here?" France said while continuing to read the flier a bit more. Chloe scoffed. "Why don't you stop reading that. You read that for the 50th time now!" she shouted. "WELL EXCUSE ME FOR MY CURIOSITY, MISS CHLOE!" France yelled back.
There was a noise from both of them yelling. Along with the noise were rock coming from the walls as if they were going to make the temple collapse.
Chloe turned to France. "We should stop yelling....." she whispered. France nodded in agreement and they investigated inside the temple, quietly. Whatever noise they heard before they heard rocks, it was getting louder. France got his weapons, a sketchpad and pencil, out and Chloe got out the sphere, and no not the spear she used to cast the Shinohara Monokuma Rise when she was fighting Cade.
"Wh-Who's there!?" a little girl's voice was heard inside the temple. No response came from either Chloe or France. "H-Hello? I-I know y-you're in here...." the little girl's voice seemed to be coming closer. Chloe's teeth gritted. "SHOW YOURSELF, WHOEVER IS SPEAKING!" she yelled while clutching on to her sphere. The little girl's head peeked from behind a pillar. She had black hair, brown eyes, scars and burns on her face, and red horns. "Show yourself completely." Chloe commanded impatiently. "P-Promise n-not to hurt me?" she asked. "If you show and explain yourself more, we won't cause any harm whatsoever." Chloe replied. France had a slight feeling of what was happening but decided not to say anything, yet. The girl came behind the pillar and revealed her entire self; she had an over sized hoodie that covered her shorts and her legs were revealed with burn marks. "YOU LIAR! YOU HAVE WEAPONS! YOU SAID YOU WEREN'T GOING TO HURT ME!" the girl said as she protected herself with her hoodie. "Explain yourself or we will cause you harm. Don't wanna be hurt? If you don't, explain yourself." Chloe continued being a cold spoil towards the girl.
France sighed. "Chloe, calm down. I think the girl's scared now." he said. "M-My m-m-mommy told me to stay here from mean man and his monsters...." the girl said. France growled. "Of course it would be Lance......" he thought to himself. Chloe took a deep breath, put the sphere away, and decided to talk calmly to the little girl who might already be frightened enough by this mean man she speaks of. "Okay, can you please tell us who you are? And can you please tell us why you're hiding in this dangerous place?" she asked in the most calmest voice she can do. The girl nodded. "My full name is April Arachne Ghaston. I'm hiding here because my mommy told me to stay here until it's safe since it wasn't too far from the town." the girl, April, explained. Chloe couldn't help but look at France and back to April, feeling sorry for her.
"AND YOU LITTLE GIRL, I THANK YOU FOR LEADING ME RIGHT TO THEM!"
April, Chloe, and France all turned to see Lance. "Wh-What!? Mean man! Go away!" April cried as she hurried back to the corner, whimpering. Chloe took out her sphere. "YOU LEAVE THE GIRL ALONE! YOU CAUSED HER TRAUMA!" she yelled. Lance shrugged. "She's traumatized either way," he said as he levitated himself towards April. "She's just like the entire town; uncleaned. It's obvious that they're demons with their monstrous features. And that's why I've decided to join the Shields Of Hell. TO CLEANSE THE WORLD OF IT'S DEMONS!" Lance shouted. Chloe's eyes widened. Were her ears broken or did Lance just say Shields of Hell? "So I'm assuming you're affiliated with Gabriela." she said with disgust in her tone. Whatever Lance added with what April was also peeved her. Her whimpers turned into growls. "MY MOMMY ISN'T MONSTROUS! WE'RE JUST DIFFERENT!" she snapped. "SHUT IT YOU FOOL OF A DEMON! And to answer what you've said, yes I'm affiliated with Gabriela." Lance replied with a smirk.
Chloe glanced at April and made her eyes face Lance. "Well then," she began. "Why don't you fight the one that's related to her?" Lance laughed. "Oh, Gabriela has mentioned a lot of crap about you! She says you're a nuisance to her plans and it'll be a good riddance!" he continued laughing while saying that. His blue eyes shimmered red for a split second. "If I win, you'll have to die and so will the rest of this town." Lance decided to straight up make a deal with Chloe. She hesitated for a moment and smirked. "Alright, but if I win, you leave the girl and her family alone as well a the town and I have to disband the Shields." Lance broke into laughter once again. "You? Disband the Shields? In order to do that, you'll have to kill everyone off including me and Gabriela." he said. "Gladly. But Gabriela's my cousin so we'd obviously work something out." Chloe replied. Lance grinned. "Well, I am a sucker for challenges. So in that case, challenge accepted." he agreed to this challenge they've created.
France gulped. "W-Well, oh geez, you can't kill the girl if ya can't find her!" he exclaimed as he carried April in his arms and drew a portal back to the academy. Chloe noticed April and France were gone. "Just you and me, Lance," she said. "And I definitely plan on winning." Lance said as he got out his pencil and sketchbook. Chloe spun her sphere like what characters in anime do with their weapons. "In artistry, using circles is the most bland and uncreative way to draw a head, meanwhile, I'll be cutting off yours," Lance smirked with an insane expression. "Dream on," Chloe replied. "Oh, I plan to," he began while he begins to draw something. "Because with my imagination, my drawings become a reality," he drew a few monsters that charged at Chloe. She smirked. "Useless," she said. "Shinara minuzaki!" she casted while the monsters were blocked but not for long......

A/N: Okay, this has to be the longest chapter I've created so far. Over 1300 words (Just the story itself)! That's 4 pages here! Welp, we beat the pages score, now we'll have to reach to 5 pages ;) Thanks for reading and hope you enjoyed that cliffhanger XD (I love leaving cliffhangers for some reason)
