The time, it is the nineties, and Seattle is the place,
heavy metal's just about to dominate this space.
The band that initially were called Dorian Gray
are about to take the stage and are about to play.
The Stevens brothers, Mike and Pat, with their band Held Under
are about to create such a storm with their metal thunder.
The drums are gonna beat it out, the bass will thump along
and guitars they will be manic as they mesmerize the throng.
And listen to those vocals, so powerful and strong,
as Mike belts out his lyrics, never getting the note wrong.
And then a chance decision brought about that disaster
which went and changed everything that happened after.
But, Mike, you've still got all the words, and so many still hear
your unique sense of humor and the views you make so clear.
