In Sorrow

Imagine the picture, put yourself there,

a concert is ending which so many shared.

There are children and teens, some in there twenties

some with their parents, but alone there are plenty.

There's shouting, there's cheering, there's dancing galore

with chanting and demands for more and for more.

The singer came back to sing one more song;

how important that was would be known before long.

For out in the foyer, death was there waiting,

a suicide bomber responsible for making

a happy occasion turn to one of complete madness,

one of grief and suffering, the cause of such sadness.

The blast when it came, took many lives with it,

And injured more people who were nearing the exit.

The screams now of horror, confusion does reign,

the strong-arm of terror has reached out again

To take down the innocent, a way of life to attack

but terror won't win for courage is back.

To the people of Manchester and elsewhere who were dragged into terror following an Ariana Grande concert 5/22/17. Our hearts and sympathy are with them.
