At Hudson Valley University the students would go about their way firstly heading to the food hall to get their daily medication, vitamins and food. You see Hudson Valley Uni was unlike any other, it was specifically for students who in the place struggled with drugs, alcohol, bad home situations or just being a bad kid. "A Place Of Rejuvenation, Education and Care" the staff would quote although they didn't care what we did as long it wasn't outside of the campus and we didn't bother them. The staff knew where all the hot spots for dealing were but only if officials were coming to the campus did they bother to interfere with the illegal substances being traded for money or other goods.
The Hudson Valley University was the test experiment for a rich man named Alex Dalvoi, he was the head of this project where he believed troubled kids should if they want to get the opportunity to get a degree in a course they wished to pursue. They accepted everyone who applied, which frankly wasn't many. Whenever the officials came in one each every semester they'd see if the experiment was successful or if they were wasting their money. Those days through that week was always stressful as the staff and Mr Dalvoi got rid of graffiti, dealer hot spots and any other trouble that could make him look bad. There was also a curfew on those nights which was unpleasant as all of the students were party animals.
Everyone knew everyone else back story to why they were at this particular school, the worst kids came from juvy or wards. Yas was a dealer back in highschool and was a good one at it, the only reason she got caught was because one of her clients siblings found their brothers stash and ordered him to tell them the dealer which put Yas into a lot of trouble. The school staff was shocked the unaware students were surprised and her parents were heartbroken. This was because Yas was a school captain, popular and smart girl who everyone liked. That's the only reason the court dropped the charges and gave her 90 days community service. After being denied by all of her dream university because of her drug past she finally enrolled herself at Hudson Valley. She was the head of the dealers at Hudson, she was careful, secretive and got other minor dealers to do her dirty work.
Her boyfriend Danny was the supplier, no one knew apart from Yas how he got the goods but he could smuggle anything in but he was always a lot like Yas but could also get her to ease up, which was good as i was the only other person who could do that.
I however was in here for being violent and i was practically raised in the wards. My outbursts of rage weren't common but were terrible when they did happen, one girl ended up in a coma, i only ever hurt people who threatened my friends or myself. Yas forced me to come to Hudson with her, literally. She sent in my application and begged me when i got accepted to go with her. She said i was her Robin, her sidekick, which was appropriate as i would threaten anyone who would plan to bring down Yas's dealing empire. I call it an empire because it is one, 90% of the students get the goods from her and the other 10% are the kids who are always tested for drugs and wouldn't risk it.
Living at Hudson Valley University wasn't the worst thing in the world, it was nice being surrounded by others who have been through similar pasts. Admitting that means that the experiment is successful in ways. But corrupt in others...
