As we landed in Alicante we were all tired, It was the second plane we'd been on today and we were all exhausted. I hoped we could all stay here tonight and then figure out what we were doing in the morning.I had texted my mum saying I was going to be staying at Seb's tonight because I felt better and we had a project to do. Brooklyn said he was staying with some girls. Seb told his parents he was staying at mine. we hoped they wouldn't talk. And Alba had told her mum she was at a friend's.
Luckily Alba knew her dad's address and could speak Spanish so she told the taxi where we wanted to do and the kind man took us to the doorstep. I had recognised the house from Pictures. It was a huge house. It looked very Spanish too.
Alba led the way in, Brooklyn, Seb and I trialled behind. She knocked on the front door and an older Spanish looking man answered.
"Alba?" He spoke in disbelieve.
"Hola Papi." She hugged him tightly as we stood back and watched.
The man was their dad, I recognised him from photos and what Asha had described to me.
"Supongo que estás aquí para ver a Asha. Ella está afuera." (I'm guessing you are here to see Asha? She's outside)
Alba nodded and motioned for us to come through the house following her and her dad. The house looked lovely and grand. Spanish quotes hung everywhere and It had a very cosy atmosphere.
Her dad opened sliding doors out into a pool area and then I saw her.
She was laying on a sun lounger in shorts and a t-shirt, she had her sunglasses on and a hat on her head. He long hair was down and it looked longer than I last saw it. She held a magazine in her hand and laying on her chest was a small baby. Our daughter.
There was an older woman next to her too. Maybe her step mum, I'm not sure but all I cared about was the fact Asha was in front of me.
"Asha, hay gente aquí para verte." (Asha, there's people here to see you) Her face lite up like a Christmas tree as she lay the sleeping baby on the sunlounger and she came running over.
Alba was the first one for her to hug, Even though she practically hated her.
"Hi, Asha." She smiled as they let go of each other.
"I'm so sorry for everything." Asha shook her head at her big sister.
"later." She smiled and hugged Brooklyn, who also apologised.
"Can we stop apologising." She chuckled lightly. "We can talk about all the shit later, I'm just glad you all are here."
She then pounced on Seb, who caught her in his arms and hugged her tightly. "Oh, I missed you." Seb almost cried. "Don't you will start me." Asha laughed wiping his tear.
"Where's your daughter?" He almost screamed.
"She's in the shade. under the brolly on the sunlounger. let me greet Romeo then you can all meet her." she smiled and let go of Seb.
She walked slowly towards me as I put my bag down so I could hug her. I wrapped my arms around her and her arms wrapped around my neck. We stayed there for a couple of minutes, scared to let go.
I could hear her cry quietly into my chest. "Ash, It's okay" I soothed rubbing her back. "I know I missed you a lot. I'm sorry but I'm here now and I'm not going anywhere."
"I missed you, Romeo" She sighed and looked up at me.
"I missed you too," I said, trying to stop myself from letting a couple of tears slip.
I leant down and kissed her, she kissed back instantly. God, I'd missed this.
"I love you so much" She whispered.
"I love you too," I replied.
