{Romeo}We let go of each other as we heard a baby cry. we turned towards the sunbeds and saw Seb holding the little girl in his arms as she screamed.
"Seb!" Asha screamed at him but in a joking manner. "I just got her to sleep and you just woke her up."
"I just wanted a cuddle," Seb said as he rocked her in his arms.
"If she doesn't sleep tonight, I'm blaming you," Asha yelled as we walked towards the other who were all cooing over Mila.
"How old is she?" Alba asked curiously as she peeked at the baby.
"Only four months," Asha replied.
"Can she meet her daddy?" Asha asked and Seb nodded handing the baby to Asha.
Asha led me inside quietly, still carrying Mila. She sat down on the beige couch and patted the spot next to her.
"Mila," She spoke softly and the baby just made a giggling sound. "I want you to meet someone."
"I don't often speak to her in English, but I want her growing up speaking both like Alba and I. So speak to her in English." She told me as she passed her to me.
"Well, I can't speak Spanish can I, baby?" I joked and bounced the little girl in my arms.
"Mila, I'm your daddy." I smiled at her and she giggled.
"At least she's not crying." I laughed as I sat her on my lap and she played with my hands.
"She normally doesn't like new people, that's why she was crying with Seb but she knows you're her daddy," Asha told me.
Soon the others came inside and Seb had stolen Mila from me and was trying to get her to like him. We all had a meal together and Asha's dad and who I now knew was her step mum offered to make some beds up for us. We were all shattered so we kindly excepted.
"Can you share with me?" Asha said walking up to me and taking my hands in hers.
I looked down at her and nodded, "Of course."
Alba had gone to her room and Seb and Brooklyn were sharing a twin room. Her dad had offered me another room but I said I'd share with Asha. We got Mila back from Seb, who she's begun to like and Asha started making a bottle up as I played with her.
"See if Seb has made her hyper and she won't sleep, I'm actually going to kill him," Asha complained as she came towards us in the living room.
"I can stay up with her if you want. I don't mind." I said kissing her head as she kneeled next to me.
"Ro, you're shattered. you've had a busy day. We can talk about everything that's happened in the morning. Let's take Mila upstairs get her changed and feed her this, then we can all have a good sleep."
I nodded in agreement and picked my daughter up and carried her on my chest, my hand supporting her head. Asha showed me which one was her room. We entered and it was huge. It had all Asha's things and a bit for Mila too.
"I'm gonna get her changed can you test the bottle?" Asha asked seeing I was dying to help her.
As she got Mila into her pyjamas and changed her nappy. I sat there with the bottle, a tiny drop on the back of my wrist and I was debating whether it was too warm or not. "Oh give me it," Asha laughed taking the bottle and testing it quickly.
"It's fine." She chuckled. "Would you like to do the honours?" She offered me the baby and the bottle.
I nodded and took both from her, I fed a hungry Mila then burped her. and put her in her cot. I kissed her head and whispered goodnight and told her I loved her.
"You make such a good dad." Asha smiled wrapping her arms around me from behind as I looked into Mila's cot.
"I still have a lot to learn." I smiled turning around to face her.
"You will learn very quickly," She smiled and leant up to kiss me.
I kissed back sweetly and she yawned as she pulled away. "I'm exhausted, I've been up since 6 with her."
"Let's go to sleep then." I smiled at her. I sat on her bed as she pulled the curtains across the bay window so no light would appear in the morning.
I took my jeans off followed by my hoodie and my t-shirt. I was left in my boxers, how I usually sleep. I jumped into the right side of the bed knowing how Asha always insisted on sleeping on the left side.
I looked at her as she rummaged around the clothes I had left on the floor. "What?" I looked at her puzzled.
"You know how much I like sleeping in your t-shirts." She laughed picking the t-shirt I was wearing earlier up and putting it on.
"It's probably covered in baby milk." I chuckled and let her wear it.
"You will get used to everything you own being covered in baby milk." She continued to laugh.
She climbed into bed and cuddled up to me.
"I don't think I've ever missed someone so much." She spoke softly into my chest.
"I don't think I've ever loved someone so much."
