Azie's POV
It's been two months since daddy and Amy told me and Kayden about the new baby. We both still weren't happy! Kayden completely stopped talking to Amy and I was the same with daddy. Him and Amy are already searching baby stuff to buy and it's really annoying because they keep freaking out over clothes. And I've also seen things I wish I hadn't.
I was walking down the hallway and heard daddy's voice. I peered through the living room door to see Amy sitting down whilst daddy was crouched and was talking to her tummy.
"Who's daddy's special baby? You are! You're my special baby!" He says.
I thought I was his special baby? I walked away with tears in my eyes and went into the kitchen to see Kayden sat there. He sees me.
"What's wrong, Azie?" He asked me.
"I'm not daddy's special baby anymore!" I say and started crying.
"Awh Azie! Come here!" He says and walks over to me and pulls me into a hug.
He rubs my back and soothes me.
"You'll always be my favourite!" He says.
I sniff and nodded.
"Listen! I've got a plan! I can ring my dad and we can go and live with him!" Kayden says.
"But how will we do that?" I asked.
"I'll get my mums phone and ring him!" He says.
I nod.
"Come on!" He says and runs out the kitchen.
I followed him upstairs and into daddy and Amy's room. He takes Amy's phone that was on the nightstand and we sat down on the bed. He searches through the contacts until he found his dad. He clicks on the contact and rings him. We waited and waited until he picked up.
"Hello?"
"Hey dad! It's me Kayden!"
"Oh hey, son! How are ya?"
"I'm good!"
"It's nice hearing from ya!""What's your daddy's name?" I asked Kayden.
"Brad." He says.
"HI BRAD!" I shouted down the phone.
"Shhh!" Kayden says laughing whilst putting his finger to his lip.
I hear Brad laughing.
"Hello Azie!" He replies
"Dad? Can I ask you something?" Kayden says.
"Sure! What is it?" He asked.
"Can me and Azie come live with you?" Kayden asked.
"What...why? What's happened?" Brad asked.
"Well...mum and Mark are having a baby and me and Azie hate the idea of it." Kayden says.
There was silence on the other end of the line.
"Kayden...I can't. Your mother has full custody of you know. And plus, I can't take Azie. She ain't my daughter." Brad says.
"But dad! I really miss you!" Kayden says.
"And I miss you too and I would love you to come over, but this all has to be arranged by your mother and Mark." He says.
Kayden sighs.
"What if, you and Azie stay over. Maybe for like a week or something?" Brad says.
Kayden looks at me and I nod.
"Yeah. We would do that!" Kayden says.
"But you need to ask your mother and Mark first." Brad says.
Kayden sighs and looks at me. I held up one finger and ran out the room.
"Azie's just going to ask them now." Kayden says.
I then ran back into the room and nodded my head. Kayden silently laughs and my genius idea of pretending to ask.
"They said that's its fine!" Kayden says.
"Alright! I'll pick you up in 20 minutes." Brad says.
"Alright! Bye!" Kayden says and hangs up.
He turns to me and holds up both of his hands. I gave him a high five.
"Come on! Let's go pack our stuff!" He says.
I ran into my room whilst Kayden ran into his. I had no idea what to pack so I just started stuffing all my favourite things into my little suitcase. Kayden came in and helped me pack some of my clothes. After we had done, we went and waited on the stairs. We also listened to daddy's and Amy's conversation whilst we waited.
"We need to decide on a name!" Daddy says.
"Mark! We don't know the gender yet." Amy says laughing.
"I know! But at least have names ready. Now what should we call it if it's a boy?" Daddy asked.
"Hmmm, I've always liked the name Oscar!" Amy says.
"That's a cute name!" Daddy says.
"What about it it's a girl?" Amy asked.
"What about...Sasha?" Daddy says.
I growled underneath my breath.
"That's my Mummy's name!" I scold.
Kayden puts his arm around me.
"Really? Are you sure Azie won't be upset if the baby is called that?" Amy asked.
"Naa! She'll be fine with it." Daddy says.
"No baby is gonna have my Mummy's name!" I say angrily.
The doorbell rung and Kayden was about to run down to the door but Amy got there first. She opened the door and Brad was stood there.
"Brad?" Amy questioned.
"Hiya! Are Kayden and Azie ready?" He asked her.
Uh oh!
"Ready for what?" Amy asked.
Brad looked at her confused.
"Ready to come and stay at mine for the week?" He says.
Amy spots us gives us a questioning look Daddy then walks in to see what the whole commotion what about.
"What's going on?" He asked.
"Brad just said that he's taking the kids to his for a week. Did you know about this?" She asked him.
Daddy shakes his head.
"No, nothing." He says.
Kayden quickly runs down the stairs with his bag and I followed him.
"Yes dad! We're ready!" He says.
I nodded.
"Now wait a minute. Kayden you said nothing about going your dads." Amy says.
"Well I'm going now and Azie's coming with me!" Kayden says.
"No she ain't. She's staying here." Daddy says and pulls me aside.
"Nooo! I wanna stay and Brads!" I say.
"Brad what's going on?" Amy asked.
"Well I got a call from your number and Kayden said that you and Mark are having another baby and they hated the idea of it and asked me if they could live with me. Obviously I said they couldn't but offered them to stay over for a week. They told me they had your permission." Brad says.
"No, they never got our permission." Daddy says.
Brad looks at Kayden and raises one of his eyebrows.
"Why would you lie Kayden?" He asked him.
Kayden shrugs his shoulders.
"Do you really hate the idea of having another baby?" Amy asked him.
Kayden didn't say anything.
"Why Kayden?" Amy asked.
"Because! That baby is gonna have everything! Two parents! I never had any of that! You left me! And it's same with Azie. She doesn't have a mother anymore! You don't care about us! All you care about is that stupid baby!" Kayden says angrily.
"Kayden!" Brad says.
"What? I'm speaking the truth!" Kayden says to him.
"And it's so upsetting that you dragged Azie into this! She's only little!" Amy says.
"No! I wanted to go with Kayden! He didn't make me!" I say to her.
Daddy looks down at me.
"You want to go with Kayden?" He asked me.
I looked him straight into his eyes.
"I ain't your special baby anymore..." I say sadly.
His eyes widen as he realises that I had heard him before.
"Azie..." he whispers.
I get out of his grip and stood beside Kayden.
"Pleas can we go?" Kayden asked.
Amy sighs.
"It'll only be for a week. Maybe they would calm down by then." Brad says.
Daddy and Amy nodded.
"Please come back." Amy says to us.
We didn't reply and we headed off.The past week was filled with fun and excitement. I didn't think about the baby at all! We went to water parks and theme parks. It was so much fun!
Finally, we arrived home. Me and Kayden walked into the house with silent. Weird! It's never this quiet. We walk into the living room to see Amy laying on the couch. As we looked closer, it looked like she had been crying. She sees us and gives us a soft smile.
"Hey guys. I didn't hear you come in. How was your dads?" She asked.
"It was good. We went to theme parks and water parks!" I say.
This made Amy laugh.
"Why don't you go say hi to your daddy, Azie? He'll be happy to see you!" She says to me.
I nodded and me and Kayden headed upstairs to his office. When I opened the door, I saw daddy fast asleep on his desk with his headphones still on.
"He must've dozed off whilst he was editing!" Kayden says, giggling.
I giggled too! Silly daddy!
I crept closer to him and crawled underneath his desk. I lift up his jumper he was wearing and climbed in. I always did this, especially when I was cold. This woke him up and he wraps his arms around me.
"Hey baby girl!" He says.
"Hello daddy!" I say.
"I've missed you!" He says and snuggles into me.
"I've missed you too!" I say.
I felt him slightly shaking and I realised he was crying softly. Why was he crying?
"Please know you'll always be my baby girl! I love you with all my heart and I'll never let anything or anybody hurt you." He says.
I was confused by this point. The only time he says stuff like this is when he thinks of mummy.Kayden's POV
I left Azie and Mark cuddling and went back downstairs and went into the living room. Mum was quiet. Very quiet and it was obvious she had been crying.
"Mum?" I ask.
She turns to me with a soft smile.
"Yeah baby?" She says.
Baby? She never calls me that.
"Um...have you been crying?" I ask her.
She stares at me for a while and slowly nods.
"Why? Has something happened?" I asked.
I knew something had happened...but what?
She takes a deep breath before answering me.
"There's not gonna be a new baby anymore." She says.
Wait...what?
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"I've had a miscarriage." She says.
My eyes widen in shock. I had no idea what to say to her.
"Mum...I'm so sorry!" I say.
She shakes her head.
"No baby. Don't be sorry. It's ok. We wouldn't have the time to look after it anyway, especially when you and Azie need attention from us. We shouldn't of even tried for a baby, not after everything you've both been through. You both need a better life with us." She says.Azie's POV
I went into the hallway and saw Kayden walking up the stairs.
"Hey Kaydie!" I say.
He smiles softly.
"Hey Azie. Listen...I have to tell you something." He says.
I nod and listened to what he had to say.
"Amy won't be having a baby anymore." He says.
I tilt my head.
"Why?" I asked.
"She had a miscarriage." She says.
I pulled a confused face.
"What does that mean?" I asked.
"It means that the baby died inside Amy's tummy." He says.
"Oh... " I say softly.
"But she told us to not be upset. Her and your daddy and figuring out how to make our lives better. Which means, we'll have more fun together and be a happy family." He says.
I nod. He sits down beside me and we cuddled.
"You'll always be my little sister..." Kayden says.Sorry I haven't updated in a while. I've had exams so I've been really busy but it's my last week at college and then I'm off for a week so I should be back to uploading my stories again.
Thank you guys for reading this chapter and as always I will see you, in the next chapter! Buh-bye!
