Danny sighed as he plopped down into his chair. It was his first night here at Phantom's Pizzeria and already he was on edge. The animatronics were all in shadow when he past them, but even so, he could feel their eyes on him, like they were watching him, but that couldn't be right. He bit his lip, shaking his head because no, that made no sense. The weren't alive, no one could possibly be controlling them and he was alone-
Suddenly, the phone started to ring, causing the blackette to jump out of his chair, his employer, Jack Fenton, coming onto the line, "Hey Danno! I called to tell ya that you only have so much power every night. Now, I'm not sure why, but the animatronics move at night. Sometimes, when I get there, the guards are no where to be found."
Danny's jaw dropped and he stared at the phone in shock, "What the fuck?" He whispered to himself, glancing at the doors on either side of him, dread creeping up his spine and making his skin crawl.
"Don't worry though! Everything is gonna be fine; just don't run out of power and check the cameras! If the animatronics see you while they're walking around...Well, I honestly have no idea." Jack sounded contemplative at that, the new guard's blue eyes widened. "It can't be good though so just close the doors and use the lights to check the halls! Anyway, that's all for now. Have a good night Danno!"
The black haired man groaned and leaned back into his chair before looking at the cameras. All of the characters were there, "Good." He mumbled to himself.
There were three characters on the stage of the horror show pizzeria.
One was named Phantom. He was the most popular character because of his elaborate green light shows. He looked around 18 and had white hair the same style as Danny's own. He had tan skin and electric green eyes that glowed in the dark. He wore a black shirt with a white blood stained vest and black jeans with white and black combat boots. An insane grin on his face with blood spatters completed his look along with the bloodied knife that was always in his hand. Phantom actually sung on stage which added to his popularity. They didn't call this place a horror show for nothing.
The second one on the stage was named Sam. She was a purple bat like woman that played guitar. Sam wore a black belly shirt with a purple oval in the middle. Bat wings were folded neatly on her back and a tattered black skirt went down to her knees. Silky black hair brushed just above her shoulders and dark purple almost see through bat ears stood proudly on her head. Her feet were bare and resembled a bat's while a thin coat of purple fur covered her entire body. Danny supposed that her black clawed hands made it easier to play the guitar and her seemingly sharp purple eyes made it even easier. It had been explained to him that the animatronics actually did play the instruments. Phantom's singing was never explained, but he figured it was just a recording.
The last one was named Dani. She was a blue mouse like teenage girl. She was a favorite of many of the boys that went there to eat or have birthday parties. Black bangs hung in her blue eyes and a pony tail brushed her blue furred neck. Blue mouse ears popped out of her hair while a thin mouse tail wrapped around the drum set up slightly as if protecting the instrument. She also had claws on her hands like Sam did except they were silver. A little bit of a bucked tooth could be seen on Dani's bottom lip like how you could see that Sam and Phantom both had fangs just barely curling over their bottom lips.
Dani wore a red hoodie with blue capris, but didn't wear shoes. Instead, she had clawed mouse like feet.Danny looked at the curtain that had the 'Do Not Enter' sign hanging on it with a frown. He hadn't been told what the last animatronic looked like and there were no cameras in that area.
His sharp sapphire blue eyes snapped back to the stage. He squinted before his eyes widened, terror making him feel like his blood had frozen in his veins. Phantom was looking straight at the camera. He hadn't been looking at the camera before! Why was he looking now and why were his eyes glowing?! There shouldn't be any power going to the animatronics right now, not this late at night...Danny gulped and, as if sensing his fear, the grin on Phantom's face seemed to grow. The fan that was blowing cold air on his neck wasn't helping him keep calm at all either. In a fit of nervous energy he turned away from the screen and turned off the fan. It was wasting power anyway.
When he looked back at the screen he almost screamed, chair rolling back as his legs kicked as if trying to run from the screen. Phantom was right in front of the camera with one hand up as if waving to him before the camera cut out for a second and he was gone when it returned to normal. The black haired man looked at the other cameras and found Phantom in a supply closet near where he was, dread and fear pumping adrenalin through his system that made his hands shake, "Fuck! Fuck, fuck, fuck! No!" He shouted frantically. The chair spun when from how fast he got up and turned on the light to see if he was too close for comfort.
When he saw that the hall was empty he sighed and backed away before sitting down, taking comfort in that Phantom was still farther away from him, but it was short lived. He looked at the screen and took in a sharp breath: Dani was gone now too. The kitchen camera was down, but the audio still worked. He heard crashing noises and sighed through his nose. The moment the guard heard a light laugh from the door Phantom had been near though, he didn't even hesitate to slam the metal door shut, heart pounding in his ears.
There was a light knocking before a voice rang out, "Come on! I'm not gonna hurt you."
Danny snorted, "Like I would believe an animatronic that plays as an insane person."The knocking stopped, replaced by a knife scraping against the metal, "You make a good point..." He trailed off, leaving it open for the black haired guard to say his name.
"Danny." Danny said hesitantly. He heard Phantom hum before he walked off, metal feet clanking down the hall. The young man watched the cameras cut out and go back on. Phantom had gone back to the stage. He sighed and reluctantly opened the door again.
When he glanced at the cameras he saw that Sam was no longer on the stage. Instead, she was where the people would sit when watching the shows. Dani was out in the hall, but wasn't too close. Well, she wasn't too close until the camera flicked out.
Danny quickly pressed the button and slammed the door shut before she could enter.
"Aww! Come on! Play with us! Can you sing? Play bass guitar?" She whined, scratching at the door.Danny could, in fact, play bass guitar, but he wasn't responding to any more of these animatronics. After a minute with no response, Dani growled in displeasure before stomping off, going back down the hall. The blue eyed man looked at the clock and sigh with relief. It was time for his shift to end. The time seemed to fly by so quickly...
He quickly grabbed his coat and opened the door before bolting to the exit, slamming the door, and locking it behind him, "Finally..." He whispered quietly. He didn't want to come back, but he needed to if he wanted to help his sister, Jazz, pay off her college tuition. He couldn't help her by using the money he got from his drawings. Danny needed that money for himself so he got this job to help keep Jazz on her feet. With one final look at the pizzeria he turned around and quietly walked home.
