Welcome, new employees of the Sociology Department of the Governance. Congratulations on your early success in this highly competitive field. It is with the greatest pleasure that the Department welcomes you to the official file of the most intriguing- and still unsolved- case the city of Freziere has ever seen: that of Wyn Rivera, the Birth MOLT.

This comprehensive file contains all official documentation pertaining to the case, giving you the rare opportunity to study it at the same level of detail that our department did at the time of its occurrence last year. It is a fascinating place to begin your career of Governance work, as it touches on nearly all of the basic human emotions that are the basis of our work here.

As for what we expect you to learn from this as recruits, that is a question even we cannot answer. It is clear that there is a lesson here, a lesson that goes beyond the Governance, the MOLT, and post-Fall life to touch on the basic principles of morality that have been the subject of heated debate throughout human history. But we cannot understand that lesson until we understand why. Why she made the choice that she did- a choice the effects of which still resound in the Governance today. Why she reacted to the MOLT in a way that none of us could've expected.

Perhaps, you will be the one to solve the mystery of Wyn Rivera. Perhaps you will be the one who tells us why she did what she did.
