Lisa sat in the backseat of the black suv. Lisa couldn't see much outside because it was dark and the tinted windows made it even darker in the car. They were on their way to the fortress. Her eyes felt heavy and as she settled into the seat she felt the box next to her.

The box reminded her of the events of earlier in the day. They came to meet her. Jason's mother entered the house first. She greeted Donna and then came over to where Lisa stood next to Chris.

"Hallo Lisa, my name is Sandy Carmichael."

Lisa shook Mrs Carmichael's hand. "I'm pleased to meet you and thank you for coming to meet me. I thought we should see each other before I left for the fortress."

"I was hoping we could meet, I didn't think it would be so soon but I am glad. How are you feeling?"

"Today is a good day. Yesterday was bad but toast and ginger tea helped. Doctor Morgan didn't take a picture of the baby yet but when she does I could ask her to give you one, that is if you want one." Lisa said as she watched as Chris left through the front door.

Sandy caught a tear with her tissue. "I would love one thank you. Our Jason wanted to be a father. He talked about it a lot the past year. He was ready to settle down."

"I would love to her more about him. Maybe see a picture of him if you have one?"

"Well I thought if you wanted it I made up a box of pictures and a few other things for you, but if you don't want it i will understand. I know this was a traumatic experience for you. That is also why we didn't want to be too hasty to introduce ourselves."

"I would like to know who he was, that might help me cope with it. Chris said he Jason was a loving person." Lisa saw Chris and his father coming back into the house followed by another older man, Mr Carmichael, Lisa presumed.

"Lisa this is my husband John Carmichael. John this is Lisa Stone." Sandy introduced them as soon as the men were closing in.

"Hallo Lisa. It is good to meet you. I heard so much about you from Chris here. My son chose a beautiful, strong and smart girl. All qualities we look for in a mate. You know that if you weren't the girl he was supposed to be with he wouldn't have chosen you to mate with. Never think that he took the decision lightly." John said as he looked at her with pride.

Lisa didn't know what to say, she still needed to work through all the info, to make peace with what had happened to her. She wanted to meet them so she could forgive Jason.

The Carmichaels stayed most of the afternoon. They went through the box with her and Chris showed them some of the videos of him and Jason that he had. Lisa had to admit he was handsome. Lisa was a little sad when they left.

Now she was here in the car, Chris was in the front passenger seat and his second in charge Turner was driving. In the car in front of them Aiden and three other members of the security was leading the way and in the car behind them were two more security members and Judith. His parents will be joining them at a later time.

"Are you all right Lisa?" Chris asked concerned. He could feel her sadness.

"I'm good." She fake smiled even though she knew he couldn't see in the dark, or maybe he could, she didn't know things like that yet. "I liked the Carmichaels. Do you think they liked me too?"

Chris laughed a little. "That is a stupid question. If they could marry you to their dead son they would in a heartbeat, that is how much they liked you. As soon as this King thing is taken care of they will spoil you and that baby of yours."
