Chapter IX: Change of Target

"What the fuck happened to you?! Why are you all beat up! Your left arm is completely crumbled! Even your bones are shattered! You have some broken ribs and you're filled with a lot of fucking bruises! What the fuck?!" I screamed after finally getting a hang of ourselves back in the camp building.

"I'm sorry dad." Everyone was now either laughing or giggling as I glared at her. She look away as if she saw it coming.

"DON'T DAD ME YOU USELESS LITTLE---"

"It was my fault..." We all turned our head to see Kouta, fidgetting behind his auntie. He slowly walk toward me and Deku, looking at the floor, tears filling his eyes. He was trembling, guilt obviously writteb across his face.

"She tried to save me... But the villain was too powerful... He step over her arm, punch her and lifted her upside down..." That made my blood boil, as I glared at Deku. She laughs awkwardly.

"Kouta dear, you're making the situation wor---"

"Shut up Deku... Then what else?"

"The-then he threw her aside... And when he was about to kill me... A tornado around her rose..." Now that took all our attention as Izuku's lips fell in a thin line. I stared at her, desbelief probably written across my face as she once again fidget.

"You did that?!"

"I d-don't know how I did, I swear..." She stuttered as everyone obviously saw that.

"She flew to."

"Those were leaps, Kouta."

"It seems like you're flying though." The boy smiled.

"Tha-thank you for saving me..." He threw a flower at her and ran away. The police officers later arrive, capturing those villains that we manage to take down. I still seek for answers as I gaze over her eyes.

"They all look at me with delight when I used my quirk." She uttered when Aizawa-sensei ask her aboit the tornado. The topic was now changed yet it was still somehow relevant to our ears. She looks scared.

The-they called me an esper..." She uttered alarming All Might who just arrived.

An esper? Isn't that a powerful quirk user?!

"That would be trouble dear girl." All Might uttered sitting in front of her, lowering himself, crouching down as she look at him.

"I don't want it..." Her voice grew shacking, eyes starting to gleam with tears. Her shoulders began to tremble as her breathing grew uneven.

"I don't want it..." Kirishima looks confused as he stood beside Todoroki. I glance at those who seems like they had no idea what an esper is.

"What's an Esper?" Kaminari asks as Todoroki glance at them.

"Considered as first quirk users... Although their powers aren't considered quirks but power of the mind." Todoroki uttered, glancing at the blonde.

"They're terrifying." He added softly.

"It's power depends on negativity, being upset could change into despression, others commit suicide as the power eat on those negativity." Yaoyorozo further explained, it's like a side effect in using a quirk yet it was more terrifying.

The power fest on emotion? Not anything that involves Physical pain? That's what usually happens in quirk users, different yet all of them are temporary.

"There's an unfortunate case in Russia about an esper becoming a villain after the power continued to feed on his anger." She expounded, eyes meeting the others.

"A hundred died." That sent shivers down my spines. She said that they smiled at her with delight...

With that simple statement...

I knew that they already changed their target.

"Kacchan, there's still another chance."

"Fuck it! You and everyone else past than I didn't?!"

"It wasn't my fault that you were rude."

"Shut up." I glared at her as it somewhat surprised me that her hair was braided and she's wearing a uniform although it's saturday. I was about to ask when someone entered the building.

Togata Mirio...

My expression grew sour.

"Senpai! You shouldn't have come!" She stuttered, standing up grabbing her bag quickly placing it over my shoulder. It was infuriating to conclude why she braided her hair after all those years of leaving it undone.

She definitely has a crush on Mirio. He has a similar quirk as All Might, he's kind, he's a great student and would obviously be an amazing hero. I gritted my teeth watching them with jealousy, sick of denying my feeling.

"Well, a hero is also thought to be a gentleman, so I think it would be rude somehow not to pick you up." Her face burned red as I continued to glare at them.

"Bye Kacchan!" She wave her hand, up for her intership as I rolled my eyes. The both of them started talking along the road, their voices left unheard yet it did not escape my noticed that she turned all pink before laughing.

Oh God, don't tell me he likes her to!

"Just ask her out already." I jump from my seat, seeing Kaminari behind the sofa watching them leave as well.

"Midoriya's smart and cute, you better be fast." He laughs as I glared at him.

"Told you didn't I? I have been a ass her entire life I don't deserve her." I uttered through gritted teeth.

"You were reasonable to."

"Wasn't reasonable enough to hurt her." I stood up from the sofa, going out of the dorm.

"Where are you going?"

"Trainin'." I replied lazily wearing my shoes, not bothering if he has something else to say as I jog toward the gym.

I could still hear it, the girls squealing while repeatetively asking Deku who she likes.

I could still remember her stuttering, face allred denying that she doesn't like anyone.

I could even recall the names of boys they enumerated a d they did not even mention my name, as if they know enough that there's no way she'd like me.

Fuck, how did I fall for her this badly? It's too much, I can't, I'm not the one she likes.

If she even rejected Todoroki who's (as much as I don't want to fucking admit it) much better than me, I shouldn't be expecting those lfeeling directed to me.
