When Aspen woke up the next morning, she was a little surprised to see she was not alone. Sometime during the night Wes must have snuck in without her waking up. Aspen tried to move out from under his arm but he pulled her tighter with every push. She finally just gave up and laid there while Wes smirked and cuddled into her.
"Seriously Wes, you're just going to force me to lay here?"
"Yep." he said popping the "p".
"I don't want to lay here anymore, I need to get up and do something to clear my head."
"Well, I have one way of clearing it for you!" Suddenly Wes was on top of Aspen, pushing a strand of hair out of her face.
"NO. Sex is not going to fix everything Stromberg."
"Who ever said anything about having sex?" he smirked and started to tickle her.
"Wesley!!!!! Stop it!!!!" she screamed.
Wes stopped as she asked and laid back down beside her. "I missed hearing your laugh. You've been so stressed lately, you need to just relax this summer."
"Believe me Wes, that's all I want. I want to have fun this summer go out and do stupid shit like every other teenager, but I can't."
"Why not? As long as you don't get in trouble with the law it won't affect anything to do with college. Come on Asp, what happened to that girl that use to tease me and do whatever she wanted to do? That's the girl I fell in love with, not this one."
"So... you want the hard to get Aspen back? Hmmm.. OK." Aspen pushed Wes off and jumped out of bed. She pulled on her hoodie and shoes, and looked at Wes who was dumbfounded. She climbed back on to the bed long enough to give him a kiss that left him wanting more before she got up and walked out of the room. "Catch ya later Stromberg." she smirked while walking to the kitchen.
Keaton was standing in the hall way as she walked by laughing. "What just happened?" he asked following her to the kitchen.
"He wants the tease Aspen back, so I'm giving it to him." Just as she finished, Wes walked in with an obvious hard-on. Aspen grabbed a naked out of the fridge and stood there. Her hair was still a mess, she had no make up on, and her clothing wasn't helping. She was only wearing nike shorts and a hoodie to cover herself. "What's wrong Stromberg, can't handle what you asked for?" Aspen winked and grabbed her bag. "Sorry to just up and leave like this but I have to solve a few things at home. Bye boys!" she laughed shutting the door.
As Aspen pulled into the driveway the knots in her stomach started getting tighter, she had no idea what she was going to do or say when she walked in. "Alright Aspen, you got this. Go in there and tell that bitch that she doesn't control you." After her little pep talk, Aspen walked inside and heard laughter coming from the sitting room.
"Well hello there Aspen!" her mother chimed while sitting next to her father.
"There she is! Come sit down and chat with us." her father's tone matching her mothers.
"I think I'm going to go upstairs and freshen up. I'll catch you guys later." Aspen started to turn around but was stopped by her father's hand on her shoulder.
"Put on a fake smile and come over here. These people need to believe we are one big happy family." he whispered in her ear.
"HA! Not on your life dad." Aspen turned to face the group of people staring at her. "Sorry I can't stick around and chat, the Athletic Director for UCLA is coming down for lunch and discussing my scholarship. I hope you all have a wonderful day!" Aspen flashed her million dollar smile and walked out of the room. After her shower, Aspen texted Wes to meet her at her house. She could still hear her parents kissing the reporters asses but that is their problem now. As she was walking out of her room, she slid her promise ring back on and skipped down the stairs. When she reached the bottom the talking stopped and all eyes were on her.
