"It was you" - said Sherlock.
"Yes. It was me."
"And you didn't do anything to stop him?" - John was perplexed.
"I had the camera hidden in the room, to record something on him. He sent me to the dogs, he still thinks I'm afraid of them... When I came back, mum wasn't there. In the evening I watched the film, like every time..." - her voice broke. Mrs Hudson wiped away her tears, mumbling ' i'll skin that bastard alive' or something along the lines.
"His underling, Leslie, found out about the film. He tried to take it away from me..."
"No doubt you would end dead then" - muttered Sherlock. John hushed him.
"... We fought, I managed to shove him. He hit his head on the stairs. I killed him!" - she said in despair.
Something unexpected happened. Sherlock walked up to (Y/n), stroked her hair and then whispered something in her ear. She only nodded. John raised his hand like a kid in a classroom.
"What does Mycroft have to do with all of this?"
The door opened. Sherlock banged his head on the table, John chuckled, despite the situation. The guest came in casually, saying:
"Alfred (L/n) is involved in a blackmail of one of our officials. And it's not the first time. We've been after him, but we haven't had any evidence of him... Now, with (Y/n)'s help, we can get him." - he turned to her.
Said girl looked at him. She didn't wanted to be involved in this, but it was too late now. And with Mycroft's help, she could get rid of that monster once and for life. She looked around. Mrs Hudson was smiling at her warmly, Sherlock muttering 'He's hanging around like a leech'. John touched her hand and looked her in the eyes. She suddenly felt she could trust them.
"... You have my help, Mr. Holmes."
