Chapter 30- Goodbye

Matty's POV:

"Matty, wake up. I made breakfast before you go to school." I heard my mom say

"Okay." I sat up rubbing my eyes

She smiled and left so I can get ready for school. I felt the soft carpet between one of my toes. I then groan realizing I'm missing one of my socks. I reach into my cover to feel the familiar material. Then in the corner of my eye I see it on the floor.

"What the fuck?" I said confused

I shook my head and picked it up. I out it on and walk to my restroom to take a quick shower. After that I walk to my closet and I choose some jeans and a shirt from Buffalo. Keeping it casual.

I let my hair just air dry, it's pretty much straight. I then walk down to the kitchen and the aroma of bacon filled my nose. I love bacon.

"Ah, come sit. Pancakes are almost ready." my mom smiled

I smiled.

"Um, do you know when Señora Isabel is coming back?" I asked, filling my empty plate with bacon, eggs and sausage

"She called and probably by Wednesday she'll be back." my mom said, placing a pancake on my plate

"Thanks." I said

"Matty, I need to tell you something." my mom said in a serious tone

"What is it mom?" I asked

"It's about Dan." she said

"W-what about him?" I asked, even though I am mad at him for what he does to me

"He moved to the states."

"What!" I said

"His mom got a good job over there and they had to move immediately." she said

"Oh." was all I could say

"I know how much he meant to you."

"It's fine really." I forced a smile

Even though Dan made my life a living hell, he was still my other half. I just can't believe he hasn't told me about this. Maybe he knew what I was going through, and didn't want to put more pressure on me.

"So he's not going to the trip?" I asked

"I don't think so honey." my mom said

Something inside of me broke. And it was my heart.

"Hurry and eat up, don't want you to be late for school." she said

I nodded.

"Hey Matty you ok?" Melanie asked me when I found her

"Not really." I said

"What happened?"

"My mom told me Dan moved to the states." I said, feeling a tear fall down my cheek

"Oh sweetie." she held me

That's when more tears fell down my cheeks.

"Hey-oh..... Matty, you ok?" Max said

I let go of Melanie, "Not really."

"Awh." he hugged me, "Don't worry babe. Whatever it is, it'll be okay."

I soon calmed myself.

"Better?" he asked

I sniffed, "Yea."

He kissed the top of my head.

"The bell is about to ring, let's get going." he said, walking me to my classroom
