Axel's pov

I stood inside the cabin, watching Abbs walk closer to the pack, watching every move that she made. Gosh, I love her. She is so dang beautiful. Why did I have to fall for a girl who loved my enemies.

Suddenly, I watched one of the wolves leap at her. I started to run out of the cabin when I noticed that the wolf was laying at her feet, letting her pat its head. I watched as it nuzzled its nose into her neck. I saw her laughing as she started to sketch this scene on a new page. Why does she have to love them of all creatures?

Suddenly, there was a home splitting howl, and the wolf by Abby' s side stood up and ran off to the rest of the pack.

Abbs came back into the cabin to finish her sketch, and we left not long after. I took her back to her flat, where she and I sat on the couch to watch some old disney movie. She let her head rest on my shoulder and I wrapped my arms around her waist, kissing her head lightly. Resting my chin on her head, I felt her breath even out and knew she was asleep. I carried her up to her bed and decided to stay a bit longer.

Then, I heard a growl at the window. I turned to see bright blue wolf eyes staring back at me. The white alpha was here. He was here for Abbs, and he would have to go through me to get to her.  I barred my fangs and went to meet him outside.
